When does LSU gymnastics’ ill fate end? When do we get to see the full LSU roster on the mats? There are so many questions throbbing inside the minds of the Tigers fans right now. They never anticipated the defending champions to slip to the third national spot in week 7. But unfortunately, that’s the reality! More so, it’s been 3 meets, and they haven’t seen Olivia Dunne on the mat yet. However, the suspense is now over as there’s the latest update on the LSU star’s on-the-trot absence.
The Advocate, on February 17, explains why Olivia Dunne has been missing in action since the Arkansas meet. And unfortunately, it is an injury. Yes, the curse continues! LSU Head Coach Jay Clark has said that her knee is to be blamed for her absence. How, what, when…we are yet to get those details. But all Clark has unveiled is the timeline by which Livvy shall be back. And it looks like it will take her a while.
“Liv’s knee is still an issue. It isn’t a stress fracture, but it is a stress reaction on her kneecap,” Clark said. He even unveiled the fact that there cannot be a solid treatment for this kind of injury because “The only answer for that is rest.” Thus, it looks like the Dunne fans will have to play the patience game for a bit longer!
