Tom Brady Reveals Key to Longevity for Rising MLB Superstar Projected to Earn $200M in Candid Chat

When you hear the name Tom Brady, your mind drifts to the gridiron, the squared field where he carved out a legacy as the greatest quarterback of all time. But before the Super Bowls and the clutch throws, there was another chapter almost written. Reportedly, in 1995, a young Brady was drafted by the Montreal Expos as a catcher, standing at the crossroads between MLB and NFL. However, he chose the squared boundary, and the rest is history. But the what-if still lingers.

Well, beyond the rings and the records, Brady built a second legacy: molding rookies into stars. For instance, NFL names like Mike Evans can attest to the power of his mentorship. And now, the stage is shifting to MLB. Notably, the Cubs’ 23-year-old rookie sensation, Pete Crow-Armstrong, is lighting up the batter’s box with a .259 average, an electric start to what could be a long, storied career. But every young phenom needs guidance to turn promise into permanence. And who better to guide him than the man who mastered longevity himself: Tom Brady.

Recently, PCA and Tom Brady met in a sports card event and indulged in what was a career-defining moment for the young slugger.

“It’s important to have all the good mentors, you know, because they’ve been through it. There’s nothing you’re going to go through that other people haven’t been through. So it’s just about you finding the right people and the right mentors,” Brady told the young center fielder.

So, players can get injured at any moment, but according to Brady, the real key to success is how quickly they recover. He believes the PCA should focus on finding the best mentors to guide him through injury recovery. And the faster he can bounce back, the longer his career will last. Here, we previously saw Mike Reinold, the performance coach of the Red Sox. He played a key role in helping pitchers like Jon Lester and Curt Schilling recover from injuries and return to top form.

Some people are naturally gifted physically, but then they can’t bring the competitive stamina to the office every day. One day it’s good, one day it’s bad.” Brady further added why mentors and trainers are important for anyone, despite being a top talent or not. Well, talent itself cannot take PCA to a cult status in MLB. It will be possible when PCA himself is ready to take the beatings for the longest time.

And it couldn’t be a better time than this for PCA to receive Brady’s advice. As per MLB insider Jeff Passan, PCA could land a $200 million deal as pre-arbitration, and once he hits free agency in 2030, it could get doubled. However, the value will maximize only when PCA is able to add value to the team, much like what he has been doing. And to be on top of the game, all he needs is proper guidance and training. Well, Brady knows the business.

Brady just sped up PCA’s meteoric rise in MLB

Well, Pete Crow-Armstrong is a ready product with a rare mix of offensive firepower and elite defensive skill. What makes his rise even more remarkable is that his professional baseball career almost ended before it truly began. Notably, drafted in the first round by the Mets in 2020, PCA’s early days in MLB were marred by a low-key affair. But he fought through the setbacks, and now, at just 23 years old, he’s become a first-time All-Star, a legitimate MVP contender, and the face of a breakout season for the Cubs.

This year, he hasn’t just been good but historically good. With his 25th home run, PCA joined an exclusive club, becoming only the third player in MLB history to reach 25 HRs and stolen bases before the All-Star break. He is now standing alongside legends Bobby Bonds and Eric Davis. And yes, even Shohei Ohtani, who achieved baseball’s first 50-50 season in 2024, didn’t quite hit that midseason milestone!

But PCA’s impact isn’t limited to the batter’s box or the basepaths. In center field, he’s been nothing short of spectacular. Notably, Statcast ranks him No. 1 in MLB among all outfielders in OAA, with a staggering +18. And by the first week of August, that mark tied him for the 10th-best defensive season Statcast has ever recorded.

So, put it all together, and PCA looks like the definition of a complete package. The only thing that could slow him down is injury, which is why Tom Brady’s philosophy about recovery and longevity is so relevant. He’s already rewriting the record books. But the challenge now is making sure PCA has the time to write an entire chapter.
