Naomi Osaka Left in Tears Over Kevin Hart’s Brutal NBA All-Star Weekend Humor

Laughter seems to be the best medicine for Naomi Osaka! After a tough start to her 2025 season, she made impressive strides, reaching the finals of the ASB Classic in Auckland. However, she had to withdraw after losing the first set to Clara Tauson 6-4 due to an abdominal injury. This injury followed her into the Australian Open, where she faced Belinda Bencic in the third round. Once again, she lost the first set after a tough tiebreak and was forced to retire. Despite these setbacks, the four-time Grand Slam singles champion remains determined to reclaim her place at the top. On the other hand, she’s been sharing moments of leisure and humor to keep things light, and Kevin Hart seems to have just what she needs!

Osaka is no stranger to sharing her life with her 2.8 million Instagram followers. Often, she posts hilarious captions over her grueling workout sessions with new coach Patrick Mouratoglou. One caption read, “It’s giving ‘call the ambulance ’” as she pushes through her routines. Besides injuries, she’s also adjusting to life after maternity leave since giving birth to her daughter, Shai, in July 2023. It’s been an uphill battle for this former world No. 1, but her resilience and positive outlook are commendable.

Of course, it’s not all work for Naomi. She actively engages with fans on social media and shares her interests, like her favorite band, Black Eyed Peas. Recently, she was in stitches after resharing Kevin Hart’s IG post with the caption, “Caption is so crazy .” Hart had posted a picture with multiple NBA personalities but humorously cropped their heads out, captioning it: “Off with their heads!!!!!!! .” This post garnered 175,335 likes in nearly 24 hours, including one from Osaka herself! She even commented with “” emojis to express just how funny she found it.

But it’s not all fun and games as she’s preparing to get back on the court! On February 11, Osaka was announced as the first player for the HSBC Championships at The Queen’s Club in London from June 7 to June 22, 2025. She will compete alongside big names like Madison Keys and Emma Raducanu. Since her injury struggles in January, she has shared snippets of her practice sessions on IG with one-word updates like “back.” In the meantime, she’s also showcasing more of her interests beyond tennis on social media!

Naomi Osaka brings out her inner Studio Ghibli fangirl!

Even as Osaka focuses on her professional tennis career, she’s never too busy to enjoy her favorite movies! The Japanese star has been active on social media, sharing one of her “top three favorite movies” with fans. In a recent Instagram story, she reposted a clip from Studio Ghibli’s animated film, ‘Spirited Away.’

For context, Spirited Away, written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki, earned $395.8 million worldwide, making it the highest-grossing Japanese film ever. The film follows Chihiro, a ten-year-old girl, as she battles to free her parents from supernatural forces. Chihiro’s journey portrays resilience, a quality that Osaka seems to share. Despite her struggles to maintain a commanding status on the WTA, Naomi hasn’t given up on her dream of a comeback.

Albeit following her withdrawal from the Australian Open, Osaka’s future seemed uncertain. She had even considered retiring if her ranking wasn’t high enough, stating last December, “If I’m not above a certain ranking, I don’t see myself playing for a while.” But fear not! From her Instagram updates, it looks like she began practicing again after the Australian Open! On February 12, she posted a training video with shadow drills, captioned “🫨🫨🫨 everyday.” Osaka is actively working to overcome her struggles and get back in shape for her next tournament, and she might just surprise us all with her recovery. What do you think?
