Aryna Sabalenka Heartily Reacts After BF Georgios Frangulis Shares Adorable Moments With Beau

Aryna Sabalenka’s hopes for a historic third consecutive title may have been dashed away in Melbourne Park after a loss to first-time champion Madison Key. A tearful Sabalenka saw her dream of a historic three-peat slip away – a feat not achieved in women’s singles since Martina Hingis’s remarkable run of 1997-1999. But let’s face it, through all the ups and downs of her tennis journey, Sabalenka has found her solace in boyfriend Georgios Frangulis. Right from her joyful US Open victory to recent tough moments, their love story keeps growing stronger, and the duo has not shied away from making their love public, and now sweet Instagram exchange proves that. What happened between both? Curious?

Let’s spill the beans! Georgios Frangulis just recently offered a glimpse into his cherished moments with tennis star Aryna Sabalenka, sharing a playful collection of photos with the laid-back caption ‘Woossaah.’ The Belarusian champion’s response spoke volumes about their special bond with ‘three simple heart emojis’.

This was Frangulis’ 2nd photo collection in just a week! Following Sabalenka’s emotional Australian Open journey, the 36-year-old took to Instagram once again, sharing precious moments with his tennis star girlfriend. Even sweeter? Sabalenka’s touching response to his earlier post – a tender ‘Te Amo‘ that melted hearts across social media.

Could these back-to-back glimpses into their private world be any more adorable?

Their relationship came about in one of the darkest times of Aryna Sabalenka’s life after the devastating loss of her ex-boyfriend Konstantin Koltsov, ex-ice hockey player Konstantin Koltsov to s-icide. The 26-year-old Belarusian then found Solace in Georgios Frangulis, a Brazilian entrepreneur with Greek roots, who would change her world! They were first spotted together in April 2024, and their relationship quickly bloomed into something special – with Frangulis becoming a constant presence at her matches worldwide.

But who exactly is who captured the tennis star’s heart? The man behind Aryna’s renewed smile is the founder of Oakberry, a thriving global superfood brand.

Moving onto some tennis, Aryna Sabalenka, who captured two Grand Slam titles last year and held the WTA No. 1 ranking, hasn’t had a bad start to 2025—despite missing out on an Australian Open three-peat. She kicked off the season by winning her 18th career title at the Brisbane International, rallying past Polina Kudermetova in the final. Melbourne Park also saw her dominating except for the blip in the finals.

But during or after the finals, Sabalenka had her fair share of controversies. One happened to be her smashing the racket after losing the match and it has drawn some perspectives.

Rennae Stubbs and Andrea Petkovic react to Aryna Sabalenka’s racket smash incident

Aryna Sabalenka had a historic chase at the Australian Open as she was looking to be the first woman in 26 years, and 6th overall, to clinch the three-peat in Melbourne after Martina Hingis. Only five other women—Margaret Court, Evonne Goolagong, Steffi Graf, Monica Seles, and, of course, Martina Hingis—had ever managed this. And history wasn’t going to be kind.

At the end, she lost it in a gripping final against Madison Keys, in a dramatic battle of three big sets, where both of them raised their games in the decider but Keys found the finishing touches to hit an array of thunderous forehand winners in the last few games, and it eventually led her to the victory of 6-3, 2-6, 7-5. The loss was very disappointing for Sabalenka.

After shaking hands with Keys, she smashed her racket in frustration before storming off the court.

The reaction sparked debate. On the Rennae Stubbs Podcast, former doubles No. 1 Stubbs criticized Sabalenka’s outburst. “I think the reason why Sabalenka lost her mind after the match, which was not a good look, was that she thought the return was out [during the final game]. When you see her reaction to her box, she basically says she thought the return was out, which was why she lost her mind. But that was not a good look for her, and breaking the racket was really not a good look for her. She is such a good loser normally… but if there was one moment, she would want to take back.”

Andrea Petkovic, however, saw it differently. “This is my argument for Sabalenka. You live and you die by the sword that you swing… if we love Sabalenka for the emotions that she displays, we have to take the bad emotions with it.

For Sabalenka, she would want to leave all that in Melbourne Park as she prepares for another hardcourt swing in the Middle East before moving for Sunshine Double in the USA.
