What Happened to Paige Bueckers? UConn Star Hops to Locker Room After Suffering Scary Injury

Paige Bueckers left UConn’s dominant win over Seton Hall in worrying fashion, hopping to the locker room after grabbing her knee late in the game. The Huskies were in complete control, leading 76-41 with just under seven minutes left in the fourth, but all focus shifted to their star guard as she limped off. With March Madness approaching, this could be a major concern for UConn’s title hopes.

UConn’s official account on SNY reported, “Paige Bueckers hops to the locker room at halftime after grabbing her knee in the final play of the first half.”

Bueckers was subbed out at the 10:00 mark, moments before she was seen hopping toward the locker room. Faith Masonius had checked in for Seton Hall, and Kaitlyn Chen replaced Bueckers in the lineup, but all attention quickly shifted to UConn’s star guard as she limped off.

For UConn, this is familiar territory. Bueckers missed most of the 2021-22 season with a knee injury, and the Huskies have been careful with her minutes this year. Her status could shift UConn’s entire outlook.
