Aaron Judge Urged to Intervene After Struggling Yankees $5.85M Superstar Triggers Controversy with Social Media Gimmick

Flamboyance can be great for baseball. It adds personality and entertainment value and helps connect the game to fans. The bat flips, the flashy gear, and emotional celebrations aren’t just showmanship; they’re expressions of individuality and passion. But like any fire, it needs to be controlled. Especially when you’re playing for a franchise rooted in tradition. Take Aaron Judge, for example.

Sure, players like Jazz Chisholm Jr., Fernando Tatis Jr., and Ronald Acuña Jr. bring an infectious energy to the game. But going overboard can backfire — something the Yankees and Chisholm are learning the hard way.

The drama began during the Yankees’ Thursday game against the Tampa Bay Rays. In the seventh inning of their 6-3 win, Jazz Chisholm Jr. was ejected after arguing a called third strike. The pitch from Rays reliever Mason Montgomery, on a full count, appeared low on replay. Chisholm didn’t hold back, challenging home plate umpire John Bacon — who immediately tossed him.

While manager Aaron Boone rushed in to calm things down, the storm was far from over. Chisholm took to social media after the ejection, posting: “Not even f—ing close!!!!!” The post was later deleted, but the damage might’ve already been done. According to MLB policy, players are prohibited from using electronic devices during games — and especially from posting anything that questions umpire integrity. Not great, Jazzlm!

Aaron Judge, by all reports, is a good leader. Calmly spoken, when he speaks, people listen.

For whatever reason, Aaron Boone, Brian Cashman, and others cannot get through to Jazz Chisholm. He isn’t changing his idiotic ways.

Aaron Judge needs to pull him aside and have a chat.

It was the sixth ejection of Chisholm’s MLB career and the Yankees’ first this season. Tossing your helmet on home plate and cursing from the clubhouse might feel cathartic, but it comes with consequences, considering Chisholm is a repeated offender. Chisholm later acknowledged his emotional response, stating, “I lost my emotions. I lost my cool. However, someone like Judge could emphasize the importance of maintaining composure for the sake of his team and express a commitment to improving in that aspect.

Surely there is something to learn from Aaron Judge about how to make the bat talk against all the odds!

Aaron Judge has got his bat to respond

Remember Judge’s ejection against the Tigers last year? He reportedly was ejected for the first time in his MLB career after disputing a called third strike by umpire Ryan Blakney during a game against the Tigers. While the pitch was low and outside, Judge’s immediate reaction caused his ejection. Same scenario as Chisholm. However, the response from Aaron Judge shows his poised nature.

“I got a lot of respect for Ryan and what he does,” Judge said. “I know their job’s tough. I’ve always had their back because it’s tough back there. So for that to happen that way, that’s what I’m most upset about, especially late in the game like that.

That’s what is expected when you are on the biggest stage and a professional! While Judge acknowledged the decision against him, he made his bat do the rest. What followed was his second MVP with a class-leading 58 HRs and 144 RBIs. Take that, Chisholm.

This year is no different. Judge is leading the Yankees clubhouse with 7 homers till now, followed by Chisholm (6 HRs). Hence, the Yankees cannot afford to lose Chisholm due to penalization or suspension. Clark called out the right man to guide Chisholm. Just by being around Judge, Chisholm can observe what it means to be a leader, not just with talent, but with temperament!

Aaron Judge could reinforce the idea that, as Yankees, they’re representing more than themselves. Yes, the team, the fans, the legacy. If Chisholm wants to be embraced in New York, keeping his fire while managing his emotions will be key. What do you think?
