Popular online streamer Adin Ross is steadily making his mark in the combat world. The 24-year-old frequently hosts influencer boxing events under his promotional banner, Brand Risk. However, Ross recently turned his attention to mixed martial arts—a move that appears to have caught the eye of UFC president Dana White, who responded with a subtle but pointed warning.
Despite that, the streamer is plotting to put two of the biggest names in the music industry, Drake and Kendrick Lamar, into the ring. This comes amid Drake accepting a fight challenge against his arch-nemesis, Lamar. The pair have been beefing for over a decade at this point, which has evolved from subtle jabs to full-blown lyrical war in 2024 to a lawsuit. But the question is, what warning did Dana White issue, and how does it affect the Drake-Lamar fight?
You see, White was in attendance for Ross’ Brand Risk Promotions event on Friday in Miami. After witnessing the event unfold firsthand, he advised Ross to “stay out of this business, it’s not as easy as it looks.” Ross seemed to have taken the feedback well, as he joked he “might have to go back to boxing.” Despite the warning, White seemed to be impressed with Ross’ first mixed martial arts event, praising the streamer for his work.

Regardless of the subtle tension with White, Ross appears to have his sights set on an even more ambitious showdown—a potential fight between hip-hop heavyweights Drake and Kendrick Lamar. In his latest YouTube video, Ross was joined by none other than Drake himself. As they recapped Ross’ recent combat event, the streamer couldn’t resist asking if the rapper would ever consider stepping into the ring. Drake’s response was swift and definitive: “No.”
When asked how much money would it take to convince him, Drake asked, “Who do you want me… I am not even going to ask…” realizing Lamar is being brought into the picture. While Drake accepted the challenge to fight, he had one condition. “If we’re fighting, we’ll fight at Hino’s gym or something like… behind closed garage doors.”
Interestingly, this comes on the heels of Lamar’s recent subtle jab at Drake.
Kendrick Lamar took a sneaky jab at Drake in his latest music video
Kendrick Lamar took a sneaky jab at Drake in his latest music video for ‘Luther,’ featuring SZA. The subtle dig comes through the choice of director—Karena Evans, a Canadian filmmaker best known for helming some of Drake’s most iconic videos, including “Nice For What,” “God’s Plan,” and “In My Feelings.” The romantic visuals, set in a vacant office building with a downtown backdrop, are interwoven with Cheryl Lynn and Luther Vandross’ “If This World Were Mine.”

The move follows Kendrick’s ongoing feud with Drake, which intensified after “Like That” and carried into his record-breaking Super Bowl performance and Grammy appearance. At the Grammys, Lamar accepted his awards wearing a Canadian tuxedo, a not-so-subtle nod to the Toronto rapper. Meanwhile, Drake has taken legal action, accusing Universal Music Group of a “scheme to ensure” Lamar’s Billboard No. 1 diss track gained traction on streaming platforms, keeping the tension alive beyond just the music.
That said, it appears the feud between Drake and Lamar could soon turn physical, but unfortunately, fans will never witness it. Do you think Adin Ross can arrange such a fight? Do you think Lamar would agree to the match?
