After $4M ‘Inexcusable’ Collapse, Joel Dahmen Makes Major Family Announcement

Apparently, podcasts are where life-changing news gets delivered. At least that seems true in Joel Dahmen’s case. The golfer was asked serendipitously by Dan on Golf podcast host Dan Rapaport whether he is thinking of having another kid. Dahmen decided to break the news to Rapaport. “I guess this might be the time and place for it, Dan. We are pregnant,” the one-time PGA Tour winner stated.

Joel Dahmen and his wife, Lona Skutt, already have one child, who was conceived through in vitro fertilization in 2023. “We had to go through IVF for the first time. This one is a miracle baby. It is quite a surprise.”  The golfer stated.

This is good news for the American golfer who has had a rough few days on the PGA Tour over the last few weeks. Dahmen missed the cut at the Valero Texas Open and the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. But in between, he competed at the Corales Puntacana Championship in the Dominican Republic, where he won his only PGA Tour title in 2021. He was leading the pack comfortably before doing the unthinkable. Dahmen stumbled hard by carding three straight bogeys and letting his lead slip to finish T2.

This is a developing story..
