After Months of Waiting, Terry Bradshaw Finally Reveals Glimpses of New Artistic Endeavour

“Just a man and his will to survive,” echoes the iconic lyric from Eye of the Tiger, immortalized in the legendary film Rocky. These words resonate with the remarkable journey of NFL icon Terry Bradshaw, whose indomitable spirit continues to shine at 76. Now, as he embarks on a new chapter in his storied career, fans eagerly await the next step in this living legend’s extraordinary legacy.

News broke that on December 13, 2024, The Terry Bradshaw Show will debut at the Clay Cooper Theatre in Branson, Missouri. This musical comedy will highlight Bradshaw’s signature storytelling style—the same charm that’s captivated football fans for decades. He announced the show on his Instagram story, generating buzz among fans. Now, Clay ͏C͏ooper Theatre has posted some pictures on their Instag͏ram st͏ory as well, and ͏honestly, you ͏can ͏see Terry’s dedicat͏ion s͏hining thro͏ugh ͏in them.

Here’s a quick overview of the show: Tickets cost $50 for teens and adults, while kids under 12 can attend for half price at $25. The performance runs about two hours, including a 15-minute intermission. Terry will share jokes and stories about his football career and ventures in entertainment. As he once said, “You find out in life that people really like you funny. So what do you give ’em? Humor.” Audiences can also expect light-hearted takes on his health struggles.

Terry’s journey dates back to the 1990s. He began playing football at age 7, and after winning four Super Bowls with the Steelers and earning MVP honors, he transitioned into a successful broadcasting career. Like many former players, he faced challenges after football, but joining the Clay Cooper Theatre marks a meaningful new chapter. He also served as a longtime announcer for FOX Sports. And ͏now? Terry Bradsha͏w͏ is shocked͏ that͏ FOX fired his ‘favo͏rite person.’

The shocking FOX firing: Terry Bradshaw speaks out about his ‘Favorite Person’

Back in 1994, when FOX NFL Sunday was just getting started, the network brought in Jimmy Johnson, Terry Bradshaw, and Howie Long. Since then, the trio has made every broadcast a hit with their perfect mix of football insight, humor, and fun. It wasn’t surprising when Terry joked that Jimmy’s “singing career” brings in a six-figure paycheck—a running gag he still throws Jimmy’s way.

After 31 years as one of the faces of FOX’s flagship show, Jimmy officially left the network for good in March. That departure hit Terry hard. Even before Jimmy walked off into the sunset, another longtime FOX colleague had already moved on. In 2023, Dave Wannstedt left his role on FOX NFL Kickoff to join NBC and host Pro Football Weekly on NBC Sports Chicago. Dave had joined FOX in 2014. That was well after Terry had established himself in broadcasting. But their history goes back much further.

Dave was a graduate assistant coach with the Steelers from 1975 to 1978, during the peak of Bradshaw’s career. Their professional connection evolved into a genuine friendship—Dave even called him “Terr,” a nickname nobody else dared to use. When Dave left FOX, Terry had a hard time letting it go. Lately, he’s been asking Lou Canellis of FOX 32 Chicago about him.

During one of their chats, Terry asked, “Hey, do you ever run into Dave Wannstedt?” Lou replied, “All the time, I see Wanny.” Terry added, “He and I are big… big buddies. Especially during football season because he gives me all my Bears inside stuff.” That’s adorable. Well, Lou added more to the conversation.

Lou chimed in, “He’s such a good man. And you know what, Terry? He’s really good at this business.” Terry sighed and replied, “I’m shocked that FOX didn’t keep him. He was so good. I don’t understand television, obviously, but he’s one of my favorite people. Top five guy, man. He calls me ‘Terr’; nobody calls me Terr. I’m TB, I’m the ‘Blonde Bomber,’ I’m ‘Bub’—but not ‘Terr.’ [But he’s like, ‘Terr! Whatcha doin’?’] He is a good man!” Dave Wannstedt coached the Bears, Dolphins, and Ste͏elers͏ from 2005 to 2010, while Terry was already deep into his broadcasting career with FOX Sports.

After retiring from coaching, Dave impressed viewers with his natural ease on TV—and Terry was no exception. The former Cowboys defensive coordinator became a regular contributor to FOX NFL Kickoff on Sundays, remaining with the show through the 2023 season before moving to NBC. It truly marked the end of an era.
