All About Sean O’Malley’s Daughter & the Mother of His Child

Sean O’Malley might be the UFC’s flashiest bantamweight, but behind the wild hair and sniper-like knockouts is a father who wears his heart on his sleeve.  In 2021, just days before he lit up UFC 260, O’Malley quietly revealed a life-changing secret.

Now, years later, with fatherhood in full swing and a relationship that breaks all the rules, fans are finally starting to ask: Who exactly are the two people closest to the bantamweight champ? Let’s dive in!

Sean O’Malley’s kids

So, how many kids does Sean O’Malley have? Just one, his daughter, Elena O’Malley. Born in 2020, Elena came into the world quietly, and it took a year for ‘Suga’ to reveal the addition to his life to the MMA sphere. Speaking to MMA journalist, Helen Yee, O’Malley confessed, “She was an accident, but it’s been everything like I’ve thought it would be. So it’s been good.” He had also gotten a tattoo of his daughter’s footsteps on the left side of his torso, although he decided to cover it up later with a snake.

Yet, despite being surprised by her arrival, fatherhood was always in the card for O’Malley. Even when he was just a teenager. ‘Suga’ revealed, “I’ve known I have wanted kids since I was a little dude. I remember being 12 years old, 13 years old, breaking up with this girl because she didn’t want kids, so I’ve wanted kids for a long time.” As of now, there are no reports of O’Malley having any other children, so let’s shift our focus over to his better half, Danya Gonzalez.

Meet Sean O’Malley’s wife & mother of his daughter

Born in 1991, Danya Gonzalez is a hairstylist and influencer who owns her own salon and boasts a strong presence on Instagram. She met O’Malley in 2017 at the gym, and the rest, as they say, is history.

She’s been by ‘Suga’s side through the highs and lows of his journey, from his days in LFA to the Contender Series to now. But what really makes headlines? Their unconventional approach to love.

O’Malley has never shied away from being blunt about his thoughts on marriage. In a past episode of the ‘TimboSugarShow’ podcast, he had stated, “Marriage when it was first introduced is when people’s life expectancy was 21 years old. So you were only married for a few years. Now, you have people that are married for 40, 50, 60 years.”

In his eyes, traditional monogamy is outdated. But make no mistake, he still cherishes Danya deeply. Their open relationship might raise eyebrows, but for Sean O’Malley, love isn’t about rules. He confessed, “I want to work with Danny, that’s why we have certain boundaries and things that can and cannot be done.” And despite public curiosity, their dynamic remains rock solid.

Now, at UFC 316, ‘Suga’ is gearing up to reclaim the crown he once wore from bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili. And with his wife and daughter’s presence beside him, can Sean O’Malley become the king of the bantamweights once more? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
