The Herd with Colin Cowherd. Reid admitted that Mahomes has developed significantly since joining the team, especially in big-game situations.
“Four to five years ago, he didn’t have the same feel he’s got for the game now,” Reid said. “We do different with him now. Have a lot of trust in him in what he knows and what he can do at the line of scrimmage.”
Reid also highlighted Mahomes’ trust in the offense, revealing that Mahomes rarely questions play calls. “Normally he just goes, ‘Just call it.’ You know, he just wants you to call. Despite the high stakes, Reid emphasized Mahomes’ unwavering confidence, noting, “If the quarterback likes something, it’s gonna get done.” Reid also acknowledged the challenge the Chiefs face against talented teams, but his confidence in Mahomes remains steadfast.
