Ayesha Curry Isn’t Fully Disconnected From Business As Vacation With Stephen Curry Remains Secret

Stephen Curry is not alone in his family with the basketball mindset, but he is also not the only one who holds an entrepreneurial spirit. “So, so, so difficult. It’s hard to balance the two, so I’m well aware of how blessed and lucky I am to be able to work from home. I’m so happy I’ve found my niche,” said Ayesha Curry, when discussing what it is like to balance her career and family at the same time. From her self-authored cookbooks and the ‘International Smoke’ restaurant chain, to managing her lifestyle and skincare brand ‘Sweet July’, fans have grown to marvel at the 36-year-old over her business mindset. With such a passion for work, it is not easy to distract oneself.

In February, Ayesha closed Sweet July’s Oakland home goods store and café “In order to prioritize the safety of our patrons and staff.Since then, she’s been gradually rebuilding the brand. As part of that effort, Mrs. Curry recently used her official Instagram, where she has 7.9 million followers, to announce Sweet July’s “Start of Summer” sale on the brand’s website, offering discounts of up to 15%. After all, any promotion that she does could go a long way in restoring the sales that were lost from the store closure, or simply bring in new people interested in her lifestyle products.

This post came amid speculation about her and the 3-point leader’s whereabouts. The ‘momtrepreneur’ recently shared photos of herself playing pickleball in a tropical location. She was captured sporting a stylish white tennis skirt and enjoying a “Pickleball morning” while on vacation at an undisclosed location. Along with that picture, Ayesha also showed herself having a pink mocktail. It remains to be seen whether the 36-year-old chooses to disclose where she embarked for her vacation.

The past few months were certainly intense for the Curry family, especially for Stephen Curry. By February, the Warriors faithful had lost all hope of the team qualifying for the playoffs after the team held the 11th seed. But then Jimmy Butler’s acquisition changed the tide for the team. After securing a path to the playoffs through the play-in and then defeating the Houston Rockets in a Game 7 series, the Warriors eventually got eliminated in the 2nd round after the Timberwolves defeated them 4-1.

A major reason for that poor record was Stephen Curry’s absence, as the player got sidelined after sustaining the first hamstring injury of his NBA career. Therefore, if anyone needed a vacation at this crucial time, it was the Currys. However, as we now know, at least one of them still has work on their mind. After all, Ayesha Curry may believe in lots of things, but work-life balance isn’t on the list.

Ayesha Curry’s passion for work goes beyond a balance: “There are peaks and valleys”

Back in May 2019, Ayesha Curry gave an interview to Refinery 29. Amongst the discussion about her then newly launched brand ‘Homemade’, Mrs Curry was also asked about her ways of balancing business and family. To this query, Ayesha replied, “I always say that I truly don’t believe that balance exists. I like to say there are peaks and valleys. There are moments where you feel like you just want to quit. I have three kids, and my son is just 10 months old, so sometimes I’m like, I just don’t want to do this today. But then you press forward, and you realize it’s a moment and then something great happens in business and you just want to keep trucking along. It’s acknowledging these moments — letting the bad moments pass and realizing the bigger picture”.

This is certainly a relatable aspect. Who amongst us hasn’t felt dejected enough to give pause to our passion project, while giving it our all whenever we get an epiphany? Ever since she began her culinary career through a YouTube channel in 2014, Ayesha Curry has continued expanding upon her passion. She has faced both ups and downs, aka ‘peaks and valleys’, but it was her willingness to ‘press forward’ that has allowed her to become the successful entrepreneur she is today.

When maintaining this ‘non-work-life balance’, however, one may need help from time to time. Therefore, Ayesha was glad to at least have all that in abundance.

“And then of course I feel like as a woman it took me a long time to realize that it’s OK to have a village, and that everybody needs a village. I have my sister helping me, my parents, my husband’s parents,” said Ayesha in the same interview. “We truly have a village in every sense of the word, and I couldn’t do it without them”.

Ayesha’s work ethic is something that everyone should adopt once in a while. However, when you are on vacation, you can put that phone down when work comes up, as we hope Ayesha will too.
