“You’re balancing. Obviously, I’m pretty young, and you’ve got a wife and a daughter. That’s obviously the hard part of what we do.” Back in 2015, Stephen Curry acknowledged the challenges of maintaining work-life balance as a professional athlete. However, the Baby-Faced Assassin has somehow always managed to prioritize Ayesha and their four children despite being one of the biggest NBA superstars. But there are still times in the Curry household when the power couple does not see eye to eye, as Ayesha spilled the beans in an interview with Vanity Fair.
When asked if there was anything Steph and she fight about, Ayesha revealed their one major struggle, “I don’t like that word. Disagreements. But I would say scheduling.” Of course, Steph has a very busy schedule because of his commitments as an NBA player and the countless business ventures and endorsements on the side. Meanwhile, Ayesha is also a successful entrepreneur with involvement in diverse businesses. So, its often difficult for the couple to schedule time with each other, which could spark disagreements.
Even Steph chimed in saying, “I’m not as detail-oriented off the court as I am on the court. I have a general sense of what’s going on schedule-wise, but she’s very detail-oriented and wants to have a plan.” However, Ayesha acknowledged that in the grand scheme of things, it might not be such a bad problem to have, “We only really fight about getting to spend more time together. So, it’s not really a fight.” Despite their busy schedules, Steph and Ayesha make sure to spend quality time with each other and their children.
Ayesha even revealed what she has been watching with the kids on TV nights these days, “With the girls, we’re rewatching This Is Us from season one. So, they’re putting me through that trauma again—where I’m sobbing after every episode.” Of course, This is Us is a show which deals with the complexities of having a big family. And it looks like Riley and Ryan are making Ayesha go through the emotional experience once again.
Stephen Curry reveals TV Series “Rift” in the Curry household
While Ayesha is busy getting teary eyed with Riley and Ryan watching This Is Us, Steph has a different taste in television series, as he revealed, “Our favorite show to watch together was Game of Thrones.” He even recalled causing a “rift” in the Curry household because of the show, “We started the first three episodes together, and I could feel that she wasn’t necessarily feeling it. And I went on a road trip right after we started watching it, and I just took off. I think I came back from the road trip on season five.”

Turns out, when the final episode of the series dropped years later and the family planned on watching it together, Ayesha was not caught up with the storyline. However, she did take one for the team, telling her family, “I haven’t seen it. But I’ll take one of those special Khaleesi margaritas while you guys enjoy.” Despite the minor rift, its great to see that Ayesha and Steph are constantly finding ways to spend time with each other and prioritizing family over everything.
