Billionaire Michael Jordan & Wife Yvette to Celebrate New Milestone as Family Stays Away From Limelight

Michael Jordan is having an eventful year. Ever since his 23XI Racing team’s legal tussle with NASCAR, the Bulls legend has been making headlines. It has only escalated after the company’s latest action. Just a few days ago, he was spotted in the small island country St. Lucia in the Caribbean. The Bulls legend usually takes vacation trips with his wife, Yvette Prieto, to whom he has been married for more than a decade. On their milestone day, it’s likely that the couple is celebrating while staying under the radar.

The couple met each other for the first time in a Miami nightclub in 2008. After a long period of dating, the two got engaged in 2011 and tied the knot in 2013. For those who aren’t aware, Prieto is a well-known Cuban model. Their lavish wedding, held on April 27 at the Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea in Palm Beach, Florida, was attended by 500 guests. The two now share twin daughters. And stepping into 2025, the couple should be celebrating their 12th anniversary.

And unlike their wedding, the two must have chosen to save it for close family and friends. The two have always been secretive about their relationship. The only time they are seen together is at certain basketball games, boxing matches, NASCAR races, and several Europe trips.

Earlier this year, Jordan’s racing team and Front Row Motorsports sued the company. And following this, the organization countersued the two regarding the Charter agreement, as per The Athletic. Given the recent drama, it’s understandable why Jordan and Prieto might have made the decision to celebrate it with family.

After all, this was an important day for the couple, reaching a 12-year milestone. Did you know that learning from one mistake from his first marriage, Jordan had made an important contract to secure the future for him, his wife Yvette, and their family?

What is the prenup contract between Michael Jordan and Yvette Prieto?

Celebrity divorces are nothing new, but the hefty settlement money is always surprising. MJ knows it very well, and perhaps to avoid such a situation, Prieto and Jordan reportedly signed a prenup.

As per the reports, the terms suggest that if the couple were to get divorced within the first ten years, Prieto would receive $1 million for each year they had been married. And if they were to get divorced after ten years or more, his wife would receive $5 million for each year the couple was married.

It is understandable for couples to sign a prenup before their marriage, which will go on to benefit both parties. After MJ’s divorce from Juanita Vanoy in 2006, he paid $168 million in settlement, which is quite a lot and was considered one of the most expensive divorce. Vanoy was awarded custody of their three children and their marital home in Chicago.

That being said, the Chicago Bulls legend and Prieto have been happily married for more than 10 years and are only getting stronger than before. So, while important, a discussion on prenup might not be needed for the couple.
