Caitlin Clark Gets Word of Advice From LeBron James While Facing Angel Reese in WNBA Season Opener

In almost a month, the 2024-25 NBA season will come to an end. No, the Boston Celtics aren’t repeating their championship run. The Warriors’ 5th ring dream is out the window, and the LA Lakers ended their season in the first round of the postseason. However, something that’s never going to stop is the thrill that basketball brings with it. Most importantly, the WNBA is back with its action and drama. 2024 ROTY, Caitlin Clark, is back in the spotlight even before hitting the floor, and the Akron Hammer, LeBron James, has a simple message for her.

Iowa legend and Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark is taking over women’s basketball in the US. She has quickly become one of the game’s strongest forces. As she steps into her sophomore year in Indianapolis, the 40-year-old NBA All-Time Scorer notices. He took to Instagram to share a post about the rising star.

“Good luck and DO YOU per usual this season!!! @caitlinclark22 ,” LeBron James captioned the carousel of three images. LeBron has always shown his support for Clark and never tried to hide it. Therefore, his sharing a social media post and cheering for the Fever star doesn’t seem so surprising.

This time last year, LeBron was advising Caitlin Clark about the rough journey that awaits her on his Mind The Game podcast with JJ Redick. After all the hate she received during her rookie season, the Chosen One said, “My advice to Caitlin, and my advice to anyone that comes in with this level of notoriety, out-of-this-world expectation, whatever the case may be, be a horse, man…Caitlin Clark is the reason why a lot of great things is gonna happen for the WNBA…I’m rooting for Caitlin because I’ve been in that seat before. I’ve walked that road before. I hope she kills.”

And well, has there been an occasion where LeBron has been particularly wrong? Caitlin has emerged as not just the face of the Indiana Fever but also as the face of the league. And as she steps onto the court once again wearing her jersey No. 22, her rival Angel Reese awaits to prey.
