Calls Mount Against MrBeast After He Demands Spot at Caitlin Clark Iowa Homecoming

Ever since the former Iowa Hawkeyes star entered the WNBA, her performance has kept spectators on the edge of their seats. Now that the 2024 Rookie of the Year is returning for Year 2, Carver-Hawkeye Arena was bound to be a spectacle. But no one expected YouTube megastar MrBeast to bring himself into the frenzy. Let’s just say fans aren’t all in for it yet.

It all started when the Iowa legend’s preseason homecoming game with the Indiana Fever against the Brazilian National Team sold out in just 40 minutes, leaving thousands of fans scrambling for tickets. And MrBeast was no exception. Amidst the chaos, his simple yet bold request—”Can I get one?”—under a post announcing the sellout sparked a wave of reactions.

For those unfamiliar, MrBeast is one of YouTube’s biggest content creators, known for his extravagant giveaways and larger-than-life stunts. However, his recent engagement with the WNBA has been, well… new. In fact, earlier this season, he admitted on social media that he had never watched a WNBA game before this year.

That sudden fandom, combined with his ticket request, didn’t sit well with many Clark and Fever supporters. “Leave us alone, Mr Beast,” one requested. “Please no,” came another. However, one did point out– “He’s the only one that can afford the ones on the secondary market.”
