With 16 games left in the regular season, the Cavaliers have put themselves in a safe spot for playoff contention. The Last thing they would want is an injury sidelining one of their core players. The team’s starting guard and leader, Donovan Mitchell, didn’t play in the two games with a nagging injury. Even though it didn’t affect the team’s hot streak, fans wouldn’t want the guard to miss out on the rest of the regular season. On top of it, another starter fell into trouble.
Currently, the Cavs are on a 16-game winning streak after their latest win over the Grizzlies. Even without the presence of Spida Mitchell, the team managed to offensively dominate the thriving Memphis side with a 124-133 win. Notably, the team ruled out Mitchell for two consecutive games, citing a groin injury.
Mind you, the same injury has sidelined Lakers superstar LeBron James for at least two weeks. Moreover, in the case of Donovan Mitchell, it doesn’t seem to be too serious. The team has listed the guard in the Questionable category with chances of him returning to the floor today. Importantly, this time, Spida isn’t alone. The Cavs also listed the starting forward Evan Mobley in the Questionable category, citing a foot injury.
Per NBA injury report: Cavs Donovan Mitchell (groin) and Evan Mobley (foot) are questionable for tomorrow against the Magic.

Mobley has produced an impeccable average of 18.6 ppg and 9.3 rbs this season. It’s pretty high for the third-best player on the roster. So, with two major offense machines off the startling lineup, can the Cavs secure their streak? Especially against a team that is desperately looking for a W to rise in the ladder.
Donovan Mitchell & Co. vs the Magic: Starting Lineup and Depth Chart
With Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley less likely to play today, Darius Garland has to shoulder the game. Moreover, De’Andre Hunter has continued to impress off the bench since his mid-season inclusion. So, Hunter could step in and get the job done alongside Jarrett Allen and Garland.

On the other hand, the Orlando Magic has a dying need to get the W to find a chance to escape the play-in contention. In the last 10 games, the Magic have a 3-7 record. It’s not like they put up a poor show. The team couldn’t close out the games. Above all, both the Cavs and Magic play the same style. More physical and the emphasis on the defense. So, the Magic can capitalize on the absence of Mitchell and Mobley and steal a victory. What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
