CBS Announcers Frustrate NCAA Community as Latest Cooper Flagg & Duke Comments Confirm the Obvious

The No. 1 and No. 2 seeds in the East Region faced up for an epic Elite 8 clash. But it was Duke who led all the way and won 85-65 to advance to the Final Four. Alabama’s season ends with a 28-9 overall record as they fell one win short of making the Final Four for the second consecutive season. The Crimson Tide did struggle against the Blue Devils, and the fans were not happy. Usually, the criticism is towards the officials, however, this time it was towards the CBS announcers.

One fan wrote, “The announcers on #DukeAla are #Dukepxp. This team is made for TV & ratings. Announcers on @tntsports are disgusting in how they worship #Duke. They refuse to call out their hockey checks which have not been called – threw #Alabama out of rhythm early #5BlueDevilsand3Referees.” Bama did struggle offensively against Duke’s defense, even their star player, Mark Sears. The point guard had 6 points and finished a disastrous 2-for-12 from the field with 5 turnovers.

But the criticism towards the announcers continued, as the fans felt the Crimson Tide did not get the deserved respect. “Can I just say, it is exhausting hearing the announcers speak so negatively about us and so positively about Duke the entire game.
