Did Wyndham Clark get caught cheating in front of the camera? The world no. 7 finished the first 18 at the top of the leaderboard with a 2-stroke lead against the field. Teeing off in the second round, Clark had a magnificent start as he birdied at the very first hole to increase his lead. But it was his actions on the third hole that caught everyone’s attention.
Apparently, after hitting the ball off the tee, it landed on the fairway, bounced back, and hit a pitch mark. Footage from the shot shows that the ball is sunk into the fairway as if it was methodically placed on someone else’s mark. This raised the question of whether Clark took another PGA Tour’s spot on the fairway.
The video was tweeted by NUCLR GOLF with he caption “ #WATCH — Wyndham Clark appears to have taken relief from a pitch mark that didn’t belong to him on the 3rd hole during round 2 of the Arnold Palmer Invitational. (H/t:@TeeTimesPub)”. The post also confirms that no action has been taken against Wyndham Clark after he hit the shot.
But the fans didn’t shy away from pointing out the issue. As one of the comments read, “CHEATER @Wyndham_Clark”, accusing Clark of breaking the rules on the course.
