Coach Prime’s Daughter Deiondra Sanders Drops Bold Reaction to Shedeur’s Stern Message for 32 NFL Teams

Love or hate Shedeur Sanders, but no one can kill his confidence. At the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine, he made sure every team knew exactly where he stood. The Colorado QB took the podium in Indianapolis on Friday, carrying with him the poise of a franchise cornerstone. With QB-needy teams like the New York Giants and New York Jets eyeing potential draft picks, he made his stance clear.

If you’re not trying to change the franchise or the culture, don’t get me,” Shedeur boldly declared. It wasn’t just a statement — it was a challenge to all 32 NFL teams. Some might call it arrogance. Others see it as the unshakable belief of a player who’s spent his career proving doubters wrong. But the support from his family is in full swing and Deiondra Sanders is leading that charge. Shortly after her brother’s press conference, she shared a smiling picture of Shedeur with his bombshell statement on her Instagram story on March 1. He caption sums up her pride and belief — “He said what he said ”

Shedeur’s statement serves as a compelling pitch for teams like the Giants and Jets who are seeking a QB. After all, the Jets are stuck in the NFL’s longest playoff drought at 14 seasons. They need a leader who can change the culture. Meanwhile, the Giants are under pressure to find a signal caller who can take them deep into January. The Buffs QB isn’t shy about what he brings to the table — “If you have the franchise traits, then why wouldn’t a franchise pick me? It’s like a cheat code.” And this isn’t just mere talk, there’s history to back him up.

We went from Jackson State to Colorado and changed two programs back-to-back,” Shedeur reminded the world. He led JSU to their first two Celebration Bowl appearances with an impressive 23-3 record over two years. In Boulder, he took over a 1-11 program and finished strong in his second year with a 9-4 record.

You don’t think I could come to an NFL franchise and change a program again? It’s history. It’s always going to repeat itself,” Shedeur challenged. And if there’s another Sanders who’s impressed with this mindset, it’s none other than his HoF dad Coach Prime.

Deion Sanders backs Shedeur Sanders’ declaration

Of course, Deion Sanders is his son’s biggest supporter. When Shedeur Sanders dropped his speech, he put forward his own thoughts, “He Said What He Said,” a mirror of his daughter’s IG story. The 23-year-old expects criticism to follow him to the NFL, more so with his decision to not throw at the combine. But for him, it’s nothing new. He’s faced skepticism at every level and he knows just why.

You think I’m worried about what critics say?” Shedeur said with a grin during the presser. “You know who my dad is? They hated on him, too. Without people hating, it’s not normal for us.” The 2025 NFL Draft will mark the end of his run under Coach Prime’s leadership. Can he thrive at the same level in the NFL under a new HC? That’s a curious question. But he isn’t leaving Deion Sanders’ house quietly.

Shedeur Sanders is walking into the NFL with the same swagger, the same mindset, and the same mission — to prove once again that he can be a game changer.
