Coco Gauff’s Hilarious On-court Shenanigans Steal the Show in New ‘Naked Smoothie’ Ad

Remember the viral video clip that captured Coco Gauff enjoying her fruit salad during the changeover in one of her matches at the 2023 US Open? While speaking about her changeover routine, she said, I love fruit, and it’s always been a part of my routine. I’ve been eating fruit salad on and off the court since I was young. Mango, pineapple, and grapes are some of her favorite fruits, but nowadays, she has switched to smoothies. In June 2024, Gauff signed her first beverage partnership with the American smoothie brand Naked Juice. Ever since she has signed that deal, the 20-year old has taken part in several of their playful commercials, including the new one that has surfaced now.

Coco Gauff’s ideal smoothie starts with a good liquid base, which is either almond milk or coconut water. Naked Tropical Protein is one of her favorite drinks. Naked Juice of Tropicana Brands Group has been the leader in fruit and veggie nutrition. They’ve been in this business for over 30 years, and adding Gauff to their team is like adding another feather to their cap.

Last year, when Gauff signed the deal, the CEO of Tropicana Brands Group, Glen Walter, said, “We are thrilled to welcome Coco to the family and to dream and develop the future of the Naked brand and product portfolio with her unique spin. As an athlete, advocate, daughter, sister, friend, and now Chief Smoothie Officer, Coco is a true multi-hyphenate and knows better than anyone that you can be many things at once.” Even Gauff portrayed her excitement by saying, “To be named Naked’s first Chief Smoothie Officer is an incredible honor and natural combination of my love of both.

Back then too, Gauff took part in a playful commercial. In a video clip, she was seen surrounded by some curious reporters in a press conference who were keen to know about her “career-changing” announcement. Gauff was bombarded with various possibilities, including pickleball, a tennis movie, basketball, and new smoothie arrangements. However, despite all those comments, she remained tight-lipped on her next move before giving them a hint by saying, “Smoothie,” while taking a sip from a Naked Juice bottle. Now, the tennis star has been seen in another commercial for this renowned smoothie brand.

The video then cuts to a match where Gauff is using a blender to make smoothies for herself on the court. Her opponent looks a bit frustrated, but the World No. 3 calmly asks the chair umpire, “Do you want some?” The chair umpire firmly says, “No.” The video then cuts back to the initial scene as Gauff concludes the commercial, saying, “It’s better now.” The official IG page of the Naked Smoothie further commented on that post, “Who has time for blending these days?

Even in December last year, Gauff was spotted in a similar lighthearted commercial with Naked Juice. She could be seen taking up a new role, working in her cabin, engaging with her colleagues, and even posing for a few photos. And amid all that, she was enjoying a wide variety of the brand’s smoothies. Her mother, Candi, had expressed her love for her daughter’s new commercial by sharing that post on her IG stories.

Highlighting her love for smoothies, Coco Gauff once admitted, “I like smoothies that are on the sweeter end, just because I have a sweet tooth. A lot of times when I want to satisfy that sweet tooth without eating actual dessert, I’ll eat fruit.

However, this isn’t the first time we have seen Coco Gauff in a commercial for a major brand. She has appeared in commercials for various brands before, like Barilla, New Balance, and many more. He father Corey Gauff, interestingly, played a ke role in getting one of those partnerships underway.
