“I want him to be happy. He’s a great guy, but I just don’t feel like it’s for me.” Post break-up with Marcus Jordan, Larsa Pippen confirmed her reason for parting ways. Some reports claimed Michael Jordan’s disapproval in front of the media was one of the key reasons. Marcus and Larsa have moved on a year later, as the latter is in another relationship and might have wedding bells soon. But recently she clarified how the relationship actually began.
Due to their 16-year age difference, the relationship was always under scrutiny. It was further in hot waters as MJ reacted for the first time about his son dating a former teammate’s wife. Back in July 2023, the Bulls legend had a one-word response when TMZ asked him if he approved of Marcus’s relationship with Larsa Pippen. A blunt “No” from Michael Jordan and then doubled down again by shaking his head “no”.
While speaking on the Jason Lee show, Larsa Pippen spoke about her ex-Marcus and Michael Jordan allegedly dating the same woman. The woman in question–Nicole Murphy. “Your ex, Marcus Jordan, is allegedly dating Nicole Murphy. Who Michael Jordan allegedly cheated on his wife with. Ain’t that messy?” said the host. The reply, “I have no idea. I don’t know, I don’t keep up with my exes.” Larsa Pippen continued, “I feel like when you jump off the vessel, it’s just good luck. I hope you can swim, I don’t care.” So, she did not divulge more details about Michael Jordan’s alleged relationship.
But she gave details about Marcus’ obsession with her. “Listen, do you ever go out and you meet a guy? And he likes you, and he chases you around for years. Okay, for years, chases you around. Just catches you a weekend where he’s like,’ I wanna come to Miami and hang out with you.’ And you’re like,’ come’. And then we hang out and we started liking each other.”
So, it was Marcus Jordan who chased Larsa Pippen before she started falling for him.
