Conor McGregor Pulls Big Move Against Dana White & UFC as Jon Jones Gets Caught in Crossfire

Conor McGregor might have had some brutal slumps in 2024, with the civil lawsuit case and no fights inside the cage, but he is doing wonders in BKFC. Conor McGregor‘s $411 million venture-Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship has yet again, announced a huge signing and this one will shake up the fight world. The company has signed none other than the son of a former heavyweight champion who happened to be one of Mike Tyson‘s most aggressive rivals.

Kenzie Morrison, the son of legendary former boxing heavyweight champ Tommy Morrison has signed with BKFC for a multi-fight deal! McGregor and David Feldman will hold a groundbreaking event in the Roman Amphitheatre of Florence on April 26th, 2025. ‘The Notorious’ now has a big heavyweight name in the promotion. The name value itself is enough to rival the UFC’s heavyweight division and their star fighter Jon Jones with McGregor acting as a rival to White despite both promotions having being separate disciplines.

‘The Notorious’ reposted the X post uploaded by the official site of MMA Fighting that said, “BKFC signs Kenzie Morrison, son of former boxing heavyweight champ Tommy Morrison, to multi-fight deal” McGregor reposted the same and said, “Best Heavyweight division in all of combat sports is right here at @bareknucklefc!”

Conor McGregor speaks to the media after he pleads guilty only to a disorderly conduct violation in New York City on July 26, 2018. UFC star Conor McGregor pleaded guilty to a single violation of disorderly conduct in Brooklyn criminal court on Thursday for his involvement in an incident on April 5 at Barclays Center. Conor McGregor will not be serving jail time for his actions prior to UFC 223 and his travel visa will not be affected clearing his way to resume his MMA career. Kenzie Morrison, the son of the man with deadly KO power, has a 22-1-2 record including 20 knockouts with a past win over Hasim Rahman Jr. and BKFC veteran Sam Shewmaker. “I’ve had great conversations with [BKFC president] David Feldman the last few months and am very excited to join BKFC,” Morrison said in a press release. “The athletes competing in their organization are some of the most talented in combat sports and I can’t wait to compete.”

Morrison is carrying his family legacy after his father shot to stardom in the early 1990s while competing in the heavyweight division. His father Tommy Morrison fought the likes of Ray Mercer, George Foreman, Donovan Ruddock, and Lennox Lewis. But Kenzie needs to do a bit more and put more effort now. Why? Let’s take a look.

Kenzie Morrison will need to reclaim his family legacy

For Morrison, the BKFC signing is not just a new chapter in his life but it’s about establishing his family legacy again. His dad, Tommy Morrison had fierce knockout power but never had the opportunity to fight ‘Iron’ Mike in the ring. However, he was on the brink of superstardom with a fight againstIronMike, but unfortunately, a positive HIV test in 1996 ended his career.

Tommy’s rise was magnificent but the fall was equally tragic. From illegal acts to substance abuse, marked by personal challenges in his twilight years, he finally breathed his last in 2013. However, his legacy is immortal with not only his boxing pedigree but also with his role as Tommy ‘The Machine’ Gunn in the 1990 film Rocky V.

The son of the man who once hit a sandbag so hard it ripped open found himself in the same career. And now Morrison Jr has the opportunity to re-establish their legacy. What do you think the future holds for Kenzie Morrison? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below.
