Conor McGregor and controversies have pretty much gone hand-in-hand ever since ‘The Notorious’ garnered global stardom back in 2014. His wild charisma, sharp tongue, and fearless attitude helped him win millions of fans worldwide. But it also brought in a lot of dislike, both during his fighting days and now, as he makes a bold run for Ireland’s presidency. Lately, the Irishman has found himself tangled in the whole Freemason controversy. Amidst the dispute, he posed for a picture with Jason Vlogs, the popular YouTuber who boasts a massive 23.7 million subscribers.
The Crumlin native’s presidential run has been grabbing headlines ever since he visited the White House on St. Patrick’s Day. However, his interview with Tucker Carlson, which is now sitting at around 1.5 million views on the YouTube channel, was filmed at the Freemasons’ Hall in Dublin, and it has received some backlash. According to a BBC report, the Freemasons’ grand master elect emailed members, saying the interview caused “incalculable” damage and that the venue was used for “grossly inappropriate purposes.”
“The Grand Lodge of Ireland does not comment on any political matter and so regrets letting our premises facilitate any political discussion,” Richard S G Ensor added. The Irish Freemasons said they had no idea about the event when they rented out the space. Moreover, they mentioned that they received the booking request from an agency in the USA and weren’t aware of the details of the event. They added that they wouldn’t have approved the booking if they had known what it was for. As a gesture of goodwill, they donated €2,500 to charity.
The California Freemasons’ website explains that the Grand Lodge stands for fraternity, and it’s a place where religion and politics are usually off-limits to keep harmony among various beliefs. Hence, they displayed their disappointment when the former double champ and Carlson discussed politics inside the Grand Lodge.
McGregor seemed pretty content about all of this when he accidentally bumped into Jason Vlogs in Dubai. This YouTube channel features a young boy named Jason and his brother Alex. The channel’s all about fun and educational content, including pretend play, skits, outdoor games, challenges, and family travel vlogs, and has over 23.7 million subscribers. McGregor Forever, a fan page, uploaded the video on X and captioned it, “Conor McGregor with fans in Dubai.”

The Dubliner’s interaction seemed pretty wholesome. He didn’t seem to recognize Jason as a big YouTuber, but still treated him like any other fan. To add to the wholesome vibe, the ex-UFC champ brought out his son, Conor Jr., and taking the picture with Jason just made the moment even more heartwarming. He has been snapping pics with fans ever since he became a household name, and this moment shows there’s more to the intimidating Irishman than meets the eye.
Ireland’s presidential election is set for November, and Conor McGregor is going all in to share his narrative before it happens. He’s as Irish as it gets, and he believes his home country is losing touch with what it means to be truly Irish. He discussed this issue with Tucker Carlson, giving his take on what’s happening.
Conor McGregor believes Ireland is losing its ‘Irishness’
Conor McGregor is in campaign mode. He recently visited an anti-immigration rally to show his support for the protestors, making sure his voice is heard by the masses. But before attending the rally, McGregor’s interview with Tucker Carlson gained a lot of attention. In it, the Irishman expressed his concerns that Ireland is losing touch with its cultural roots because of overspending, and public wealth is being transferred into private hands.
McGregor, in the interview with Carlson, said, “The overspending that’s going on. This is our public wealth being administered into private hands, enriching people to bring in this influx of illegal mass migration that is changing the fabric of my country. Ireland is very close to losing its Irishness, and we will not let that happen.”
