But fast forward a few days, and the Wings were hit with a reality check. In the rematch, Phoenix handed them a brutal 102-72 loss. And to make matters worse, Paige Bueckers was involved in an on-court collision that left fans holding their breath.
In the first quarter of the game, Paige was seen driving with the ball to the basket when she collided with Mercury center Kalani Brown, taking a hard hit to the head in the process. Chris Koclanes has now addressed the issue in the post-game conference, saying, “(Paige Bueckers) is feeling okay,”
“(Paige Bueckers) is feeling okay,” Chris Koclanes said after I asked about Bueckers taking a hard hit during the game tonight.
