“Did They Give Her Some Implants” – Joe Rogan Hilariously Puts an End to Statue of Liberty’s Bizarre Theory

On the most recent episode of JRE Fight Companion, Eddie Bravo presented a bizarre idea linking the Statue of Liberty to Lucifer. He pointed out the broken chain around its ankle, compared it to a well-known painting of Lucifer, and even questioned whether the statue was a dude. It surely was the kind of deep-cut conspiracy that made you pause and ask, “What if?” So, what did Joe Rogan say about it? Well, the JRE host got straight into debunking it while having some fun.

Rogan first played along with Bravo’s claim regarding the painting, originally made by Thomas Lawrence in 1797. “Nahh. Two arms, one arm—a dude with an arm up in the air,” he replied, paying only passing heed to the theory. But as he looked closely at the statue, he noticed something else. “The arm is huge,” he said. “Look at that forearm. That’s a jacked forearm.” The discussion rapidly took a humorous tone as the JRE host then focused on the statue’s hands, nose, and overall structure, acknowledging that it surely had some surprisingly male qualities.

Then came the real kicker. “Are there b—s on the Statue of Liberty?” the UFC commentator asked, half-joking but entirely dedicated to the topic at hand. “Did they give her some implants later in the day? Did they heat up the copper and push it up a little bit?”As expected, the room echoed with laughter, but he wasn’t finished yet. They needed to settle this once and for all. A full image of the statue was brought up, and everyone leaned in for the final decision. So? What was the final verdict?

After a long stare, Joe Rogan admitted, “Yeah, it doesn’t look like it has b—s.” But, just as the theory was about to die, Bravo chimed in one last time: “Could be gyno, though,” referring to gynecomastia. That is all it took. Joe Rogan cracked up, repeating the joke with a grin. “Could be gyno. Ancient steroids.” And just like that, the entire debate crumbled on the episode. Because, in the universe of Joe Rogan, it’s never about the truth, especially in terms of conspiracy theories—it’s about having as much fun as possible. But do you know that this isn’t the first time the JRE host brought the statue under his magnifying glass of scrutiny?

Joe Rogan unconvinced that the Statue of Liberty is a woman

Do you know that Joe Rogan’s mistrust of the Statue of Liberty precedes the “gyno” claim? Long before he and Eddie Bravo were making jokes about implants, he had considered the possibility that Lady Liberty might not be that ladylike after all. On the October 25, 2024, edition of The Joe Rogan Experience, he sat down with comic Sam Tripoli and followed the same rabbit hole.

Most historians agree that the statue was inspired by the Roman goddess Libertas, and some even suggest that sculptor Auguste Bartholdi based it on his mother’s likeness. But Tripoli had another idea. “It’s a dude, a drag queen,” he said. And with that, the JRE host was hooked.

“Look at the jaw,” Rogan said. “That does look like a dude. How thick the neck is,” he noticed, before returning to what had piqued his interest in our latest episode as well—those arms. To the JRE host, the arms and other features looked a little too muscular for comfort.

So, to no one’s surprise, Rogan was completely on board, examining the monument like a fight analyst breaking out a UFC battle. He even considered the possibility that the monument might not be modeled on Libertas at all. Some say sculptor Auguste Bartholdi was inspired by his mother’s visage, but Tripoli had a different theory: what if the Green Goddess was fashioned after the Zoroastrian god Mithras instead?

The JRE host did not shut it down. Instead, he kept gazing, asking questions, and laughing. To make the situation even more bizarre, a 22-second clip from that episode resurfaced later, giving the internet yet another cause to question Lady Liberty. The entire conversation started off as a joke, but it had now grown into something more.

The line between serious discussion and full-fledged trolling had blurred, and the UFC commentator, as usual, was there right in the middle of it, stirring the pot just enough to keep things interesting. What do you think? Do you believe in either of the two theories? Let us know in the comments.
