Dodgers’ Win Overshadowed as Magic Johnson’s Wife Cookie Struggles to Get Over Unforgettable Encounters

Magic Johnson turned a business trip into an unforgettable vacation for his wife, Cookie Johnson. It was the Dodgers who kicked off their season defending their championship in Japan. With Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto in their squad, the Tokyo Dome was filled with 42,000 people in attendance. Despite the game being played overseas, Cookie took in every single experience of this trip and recently shared the video highlights of the trip.

Relive Tokyo with me,” the video started with the caption. While describing her time in Japan, she called it “unforgettable” plus also shared her wish with Magic Johnson to visit the country again. “Japan, you were amazing! From the Sky Tower to Mt. Fuji, cherry blossoms, Buddhist temple, Dodger games, and our stay at the Four Seasons Tokyo—every moment was unforgettable I already told Earvin how much I want to go back again!

As the caption shared, the couple, before the game, soaked in the cultural experience of Japan. The visit to Mt. Fuji had its different pleasures that Cookie Johnson shared previously. “We took a two-hour drive to Mt. Fuji for the day, and the view was beyond worth the trip! On the way, we stopped at a small village and drank water straight from the mountain. It was some of the purest water I’ve ever tasted .” Apart from this, there was more.

They stopped at a local traditional restaurant for their lunch and ended the day with dinner at Morimoto XEX Teppanyaki. In terms of food, there were no complaints from Mrs. Johnson. It’s not only her who enjoyed the trip; even her husband detailed the positives of visiting Japan!

Magic Johnson not only celebrated the Dodgers’ win but also the milestone of a dear friend

During the fifth inning of the Tokyo Series opener, Ohtani made the first big hit of this season, roping the 107.4 mph double down the right field. Ohtani’s single was the first hit of the game for the Dodgers, helping start a rally that would turn the game in their favor. Last season, the Dodgers won the second championship in five years. So, the team started on a winning note in their bid to retain their championship.

Ohtani treated his Dodgers teammates to a special dinner in Tokyo and he wasn’t the only one. Magic Johnson and his wife, Cookie, joined former NFL star Rodney Peete for an extravagant birthday celebration. “Cookie and I are in the unbelievable city Tokyo, Japan, and had the pleasure of celebrating our great friend Rodney Peete’s birthday at one of the best 101 steak houses in the world, Wagyu Mafia!” The 65-year-old gave fans a glimpse of the night’s festivities at Wagyu Mafia, one of Tokyo’s most exclusive steakhouses.

Experiencing the unforgettable trip, the Lakers legend was also sad that the trip came to an end. “Cookie and I had such a great time for a week in Japan and we’re sad it has to come to an end.” But we already know he has promised another visit to Japan to his wife. Could it be that they ditch their annual European vacation for a visit to Asia? Only time will tell!
