Dwyane Wade Hypes 32YO WNBA Star Earning Bragging Rights After Rose BC Scripts Thrilling “Herstory”

Dwyane Wade was in attendance as Unrivaled crowned its first champions. Rose BC was trailing at the halfway mark but was able to come back to a 62-54 win over Vinyl BC. With Angel Reese and Kahleah Copper out with injuries, the responsibility of the win fell on Chelsea Gray. The Point Gawd earned the Finals MVP accolade, and D-Wade made sure to remind everyone of that.

HERSTORY was made! Congrats to @rosebc and @unrivaledbasketball for a great first season The words of the week are: CHELSEA. GRAY. ,” wrote the Heat legend. Her 18 points, 8 assists, and 3 rebounds contribution were enough to earn the inaugural Finals MVP title. The 32-year-old also led the league in assists with 5.4 assists per game. Plus, in the regular season, she averaged 21.3 points and had the league-best, six game-winning shots! The Duke alum’s output increased significantly during playoffs.

An average of 28.5 points plus 6 assists and who can forget her semifinal contribution of 39 points against the Laces. After the final win, Gray was ready to put the doubters on notice.

Dwyane Wade was also involved with podcasting duties during Unrivaled. Apart from Chelsea Gray, the 3x NBA champion also spoke with Rae Burrell and Candace Parker. During one of the snippets from the interview with Gray, the Aces star said: “If we get to the championship, I’m talking so much s**t y’all.  I’m telling you, I won’t talk s**t until we win. I got receipts. Just ready, ready to post. Ready to bring to [the] media.”

Her response could hint at ESPN, as they predicted Roses to finish bottom in the inaugural season of the new 3×3 league. Even at the start of the season, they had a record of 1-4 and did not get past the .500 mark until February 21.

Dwyane Wade was courtside as Chelsea Gray dominated in the semifinals

Alongside Gray, the Roses had the 22-year-old Angel Reese who dominated the league with her rebounding. Before her injury, the Chi-town Barbie had 12.1 boards per game earned the inaugural Defensive Player of the Year award, and grabbed a spot in the All-Unrivaled Second Team. Plus, who can forget she being the first player to notch a 20-20 game in Unrivaled. But before the playoffs, she was sidelined with the same wrist injury which ended her rookie season in the WNBA.

Naturally, it was Chelsea Gray who shouldered the responsibility of the team. Dwyane Wade was on the courtside to soak it all in as the 32-year-old WNBA star put on a clinic with her 39-point domination. The Heat icon praised her in a social media shout-out. “Point GAWD,” but that was not the only story. D-Wade also added to his Instagram story, “Let’s go home,” further cheering the 3x WNBA champ.

Rose, found themselves trailing Laces BC by 13 points at halftime. Gray single-handedly led a 21-0 scoring run, nailed the game-winner, and finished with a jaw-dropping 39 points. That’s why Dwyane Wade reminded everyone about the Unrivaled Finals MVP’s performance since he saw the Point Gawd in action live!
