Eli Manning’s Former Teammate’s Unretirement Plea Puts 32 NFL Teams on Notice as Ex-Giants DE Loses 6-Figure Watch

Does any team still need a linebacker? If a few front offices were banking on finding one in the draft and came up short, there’s a familiar name back on the radar. A veteran with two Super Bowl rings and three Pro Bowls, one of the best defensive players in the league, and Eli Manning’s former teammate. A certified Giants legend is raising his hand, saying loud and clear: he’s not done yet. And while he’s making headlines for what he wants to do on the field in 2025, he’s also catching attention for what he lost off the field. So, what’s the latest scoop?

Eli Manning’s Super Bowl XLVI partner, Jason Pierre-Paul, is claiming to be ready for a comeback. The 36-year-old veteran is doing his PR campaign and letting the 32 franchises know that he still has some game left in him. In an interview with TMZ, Jason said, “I still got it. Whoever gives me that opportunity, they will see.” Pierre-Paul did not play in the 2024 season. His last season (2023) was not very productive, as he juggled between the Saints and Dolphins practice squads. “Last year, I didn’t get a chance to play. It was disappointing, but like I say, this is a business. When people feel like they don’t need you, you gotta show them,” Jason told TMZ.

Once known for racking up sacks, Jason could record only 5.5 sacks in his last three seasons. And that was the reason the LB couldn’t get on any team last season. But ever since, the 36-year-old has been sweating it out in the gym, training relentlessly. While doing so, making sure all 32 franchises are watching. “I’m in the gym 24/7… I feel like the young 24-year-old me. I can’t say 21. I’m down to 270 pounds. I got abs. I haven’t had abs since my rookie year,” he added.

So, while JPP’s comeback announcement has created quite a frenzy, there’s another reason his name has been in the headlines lately.

Jason Pierre-Paul robbed of $400K timepiece in Florida

This past weekend, Jason Pierre-Paul hit the DAER Nightclub in Hollywood, Florida, to attend an F1 party. But what the former Giants LB didn’t expect was to lose his $400K Richard Mille watch. As reported by TMZ, Pierre-Paul’s expensive timepiece was stolen while he was trying to make his way to the dance floor. “The watch is worth $400,000, you know what I mean, retail. I’m a celebrity. I’m a football player. And I respect everybody, you know. But when something like that happens to me, yo, I’m going to make it be known,” Jason said. The police are currently investigating the incident.

According to Pierre-Paul’s statements, he might have had a close encounter with the suspect. The former Giants player explained that while trying to move through the crowd, one person seemed to be moving right along with him. “It was one specific dude, he was kind of strange, and I was looking at him the whole time like, ‘Why are you moving with me?’”

As soon as the 36-year-old made his way past the crowd, he realized his watch was gone. “So I looked at my wrist, and the watch is gone. So automatically I told my boy, ‘They stole my watch,’” said Jason. “It wasn’t just me; I just want people to be aware that this type of stuff is happening, and if it can happen to me, it can happen to anybody. I’ve never, in my whole entire life, seen somebody take a watch off my wrist,” added the LB.

WPLG Local 10 reported that another watch was stolen from the same nightclub around the same time. Jason also explained that DAER Nightclub is not a safe place, urging people to be aware of their surroundings and stay safe. “You’ve gotta be aware of your surroundings, and I just want everybody to be aware that this nightclub is not a safe place to come,” Pierre-Paul added.

Well, hopefully, Jason will get his watch back. But right now, all the fans are focused on his comeback and whether he can make a successful return to the NFL.
