Emma Raducanu brutally calls an end to her partnership with her new interim coach after just one match. Vladimir Platenik joined Raducanu’s team on a two-week trial with the trial period reportedly starting at the BNP Paribas Open. They started working together after her first-round loss to the Japanese tennis star, Moyuka Uchijima. Although Raducanu made a strong comeback from that loss in Indian Wells and made a winning start in Miami, Platenik was absent in her box during the match. After seeing this, questioned his absence, and then recently her spokesperson confirmed the news about the split.
“Emma and Vlado have parted ways. Emma has utmost respect for Vlado and the work they started but it wasn’t quite heading in the right direction. Emma is now focused on doing as well as she can here in Miami after her a solid start today and will continue looking for the right coach,” said the spokesperson.
