To make matters worse, Osaka suffered a heartbreaking defeat against Paula Badosa in the first-round clash at the French Open. Despite giving it her all, Osaka was defeated in three sets: 6-7 (1), 6-1, and 6-4. After the match, a shocking comparison came to light, which didn’t go down well with the fans.
During the post-match interview, Osaka revealed, “I hate disappointing people. Even with Patrick, I was thinking just now that he goes from working with like the greatest player ever to like… what the f**k this is.” Osaka took a brutal assessment of her game and made an honest confession.
