After a stomping victory against the San Diego State Aztecs, UNC is through to the first round of March Madness! Hubert Davis pulled off what many thought was impossible, and his team is looking to make a dream run this year.
The Tar Heels defied all odds in the 95-68 victory over the Aztecs, and analysts believe that they can cause quite a few upsets this year! Namely, Hall-of-Famer Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim bled blue on the Dan Patrick Show.
“I pick North Carolina to go all the way in the tournament this year.” He said, pointing to his UNC colors. Boeheim mentioned how the Tar Heels team is a lot better than what the public is giving them credit for.
Not only that, he had a special note for the nay-sayers who spoke out against North Carolina. “And everybody in the country says they shouldn’t be in. They look at one metric, they don’t look at the fact that they’re ahead of the bubble teams, or ahead of the last four teams in the overall combined metrics.”
