It’ll be an understatement to say Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson’s relationship hasn’t been smooth sailing. They’ve been in mainstream discourse for a while and have caught flak, both individually and as a couple, for a multitude of reasons. Some fair, but most partisan and fallacious. Alas, their bond only seems to grow stronger and more intrinsic from it. At least in terms of what they project to the masses. Over the weekend, Bill Belichick was in attendance at Miss Maine 2025 to spectate and support Jordon Hudson, who’s been a multi-time participant. Also at the event were a pair of sports podcasters, Madeline Hill and Charlotte Wilder. The two have become notorious for keeping tabs and relaying insight on every development around Coach Belichick and Jordon Hudson’s relationship. It’s why they were in Maine for the beauty pageant, since it was rumoured that he’d be there as well. In the aftermath of the event, in which Jordon finished 3rd, Hill and Wilder took to their platform to give an eyewitness account and share an interesting wrinkle. Something that connects Belichick’s ex-girlfriend with his current one.
On “The Sports Gossip Show”, Charlotte Wilder spoke about noticing something interesting on Ann Baldridge’s IG account. Baldridge is the winner of the 2024 iteration of Miss Maine. She pipped Jordon Hudson, who finished as runner-up, to the title. There’s nothing to suggest there’s any animosity between the two, but it couldn’t have felt great for Jordon. Anyway, Wilder brought to light a distinct link between Ann Baldridge and Linda Holliday. Who dated Bill Belichick for 16 years before their breakup and his subsequent relationship with Jordon Hudson.
“We’re looking at [Baldridge’s] Instagram, and she had posted that her grandmother had passed away,” said Charlotte Wilder. “Linda Holliday had commented on [the] post and said, ‘I’m so sorry, Anne. I’m so sorry for your loss.’ [or] something along those lines. She also follows the Miss Maine pageant [on IG]. And so I feel like Linda probably had a connection to this world,” she added. Small world, eh? This already complex and convoluted plot around Belichick and Jordon’s relationship continues to thicken. Charlotte Wilder and her co-host Madeline Hill also shared something intriguing about Bill Belichick from the day of the pageant.
Bill Belichick’s entry at Jordon Hudson’s Miss Maine pageant is a story in itself
The closest NFL team from Maine, proximity-wise, is the New England Patriots. There’s a huge fan following of the Pats in the state. Naturally, 6x Super Bowl-winning HC Bill Belichick is a massively revered and cherished figure in the community there. So you’d think his appearance at the Miss Maine pageant sparked pandemonium, with people flooding to him and him becoming the main attraction and appeal. Now conceded, a beauty pageant audience isn’t exactly the same demographic as a sports audience. But Belichick transcends those boundaries in that part of the world. Yet, Charlotte Wilder and Madeline Hill claim what they witnessed was anything but pandemonium. Even to their surprise.
“What I love about Maine so much is that you would think in a state that has rabid Patriots fans, huge sports fans [that] love the Patriots…For those of us who are lucky enough to root for New England, you’d think that there would be sort of a hubbub in the room. Maybe, like, three people took pictures…Nobody gave a s**t that Bill Belichick had just lumbered into the room. walked across the entire front stage,” said Wilder. Hill even reiterated this appalling way things panned out, saying, “He didn’t go in the background. Everyone could see him,” As aforementioned, not the kind of audience that’d be in awe of arguably the greatest football coach, certainly defensive mind, in the history of football. But does this serve as a microcosm of the potentially changing perception around Bill Belichick?
Not to blow things out of proportion. But it’s a rational takeaway that Bill Belichick’s admiration and outright worship may have taken a slight hit as a byproduct of the off-field drama involving him and Jordon Hudson. He’s got a ton of credit in the bank, and nothing can ever take away from what he achieved from the sidelines. However, it’s good food for thought.
