Dominick Reyes finished Nikita Krylov with a counter left in the first round, marking his UFC 314 win as his third KO win in a row. His comeback was what the entire fighting community was waiting for. And even though he won the bout in style, he wasn’t able to get a performance bonus. Needless to say, the # 11 light heavyweight fighter was pretty upset about it. However, there was one aspect of his life that cheered him up like nothing else.
But before we get to the happy part, let’s shine some light on his recent upset. Undoubtedly, the first-round KO win should have gotten a $50K bonus. Or, that’s what the world believed, judging from the cheers that went through the crowd following the KO. Talking to Ariel Helwani on The Ariel Helwani Show, ‘The Devastator’ declared, “It’s definitely upsetting. #11 vs. #8. I knocked him out in the first round to jump off the main card of the best card of the year. It definitely hurt, but it is what it is. Bottom line, I’m winning, man. We’re moving forward.” And there’s a pretty good reason for him and his wife to go forward.
Well, the power couple decided to tie the knot back on 18 January 2025. Lupian took the big news to Instagram and shared a cascade of pictures from their wedding ceremony. It was a moment that Reyes and his wife cherished and remembered as the best day of their life. But that was until the couple found out that they were pregnant with their first child! And to celebrate the big news, Reyes found his way to Instagram and put a picture of a pregnancy test kit on his Instagram story. Of course, the kit showed two lines, shining some light on Lupian’s pregnancy. However, she will have to do an ultrasound imaging to confirm her pregnancy. But for now, it was a moment of celebration for Reyes. He captioned the Instagram Story, “Blessings on Blessings!!!!! ”

As soon as the announcement found its way to Reddit, the fighting world seemed to connect the dots. Apparently, the fans believed that the strength to defeat Krylov with a knockout came because of his soon-to-be dad title. A comment read, “Aha so it was the dad strength , makes sense.”
And as the post lingered around, it garnered quite a bit of congratulatory messages for the light heavyweight contender. One of the fans wrote, “Congrats man. Big win Saturday big win today.” Another fan added, “Congratulations to reyes we ll be there for his comeback !” Needless to say, the past couple of days were likely the best days of Reyes’ life. And the fans knew it pretty well. One fan commented, “Dom Reyes having the best year of his life.”
