Phil Andrew Santino is stepping up to the tee with a brand-new golf podcast, No Bad Lies, set to launch on April 9. Blending comedy, conversation, and a love for the game, Santino will take listeners, notably LIV Golfers, inside the world of golf with on-course chats and in-studio interviews featuring pro golfers, athletes, entertainers, and influencers. Early guests include LIV Golf major winners Jon Rahm and Cam Smith, as well as other popular golf personalities Fat Perez and Grant Horvath.
Catch No Bad Lies on all major podcast platforms, with a video version available on Santino’s YouTube channel. He shares the news through his latest video, which is a hilarious take on the struggles of breaking into golf’s inner circle. In the clip, Santino gets turned away from a “fancy private club where famous people who play golf, golf.” But instead of leaving empty-handed, he walks away with a massive telephone book titled Famous Guys Who Golf, courtesy of the security guard. Flipping through, he dials up Dustin Johnson and Bryson DeChambeau, only to be met with their (fake) voicemails.
Just when it seems all hope is lost, a major champ actually picks up—none other than Cam Smith. Looks like No Bad Lies just scored a solid guest! As the LIV Golf pro takes up the call, Santino introduces himself and the Major champ pretends not to know him. Well, of course, he does, but anything to make the video funny right? Further, he introduces himself as a comedian podcaster, and a ‘pretty good golfer’. Introducing the show he says, “So I’m starting a new show called No Bad Lies, where I take pro golfers, celebs, athletes for a one-hole walk and talk and I give them deliberately bad lies and they have to tell me a time that life gave them a bad lie, and how they got out of it, and how did they recover.”
Cameron Smith is actually impressed by the idea, and Andrew Santino butters him up by saying that he is the first preference, and would be the perfect first guest. The Pro asks him to come to him and also enquires how he got his number. Using the name that popped into his head first, Santino lied, “I got your number from Mickelson. Yeah, Phil, yeah Lefty handed it right out. Didn’t even hesitate.” In the video, that’s when both Mickelson and Cameron Smith are playing golf together. He looks at Lefty as he hits a shot and says, “F**king Mickelson.”

That’s a solid jab at Phil Mickelson, and Cameron Smith delivers it perfectly. The No Bad Lies concept also adds a unique twist to the classic on-course interview setup, making it more than just another golf podcast. In fact, Santino already proved he can bring humor and insight to the game when he teamed up with Hally Leadbetter for an episode of Golf Digest’s On The Tee—and it was every bit as entertaining as you’d expect. Well, golf and Santino are always a fun combo.
LIV Golf and more: Santino’s love for the sport
Andrew Santino is known for his sharp wit and hilarious storytelling, but what many don’t realize is that he’s also a serious golfer. With a solid game and a true passion for the sport, it’s no surprise that his next big project is all about golf. Last year, Golf Digest highlighted just how dedicated Santino is to the game. He’s not just another celebrity who dabbles in golf—he’s a legit low-handicapper who rarely travels without his clubs. Whether it’s teeing it up on Scotland’s legendary courses or playing alongside Zac Efron at Australia’s ultra-exclusive Capital Golf Club while filming Ricky Stanicky, Santino is always looking for his next great golf experience.
Now, he’s bringing that same enthusiasm to a new golf-focused podcast. “I’m beyond excited to dive into all aspects of the game with No Bad Lies,” Santino told The Hollywood Reporter. “From LIV to the PGA and everything in between, there’s so much happening in golf right now. I can’t wait to explore the sport from every angle with the people who love this game as much as I do.” Given the success of Whiskey Ginger and Bad Friends, there’s no doubt that this venture will be just as entertaining.
With top golfers, celebrities, and sports personalities joining him, fans can expect plenty of laughs, great stories, and maybe even a few pro tips along the way. One thing’s for sure—if you love golf and comedy, this is a podcast you won’t want to miss. Keep an eye out for the launch and get ready for a fresh, fun take on the game we all love!
