Flau’jae Johnson Has Had Enough Already in Candid 5-Word WNBA All-Star Admission

When the mid-season of the 2025 WNBA season rolled around, all the buzz was about the 2025 WNBA All-Star Weekend. However, once the event started, it moved too quickly to enjoy properly. With the Skills Challenge and 3-Point contest already done and dusted, where Natasha Cloud and Sabrina Ionescu took the win respectively, the only remaining event is the All-Star Game. While most fans are looking ahead to the game, the LSU Tigers’ guard, Flau’jae Johnson, can’t wait to get it over with.

While most players in college basketball eagerly wait to be eligible for the draft, Flau’jae Johnson made the rare decision to continue playing for the LSU Tigers. Though eligible for the 2025 WNBA draft, the 21-year-old came back to play her senior season with the LSU Tigers. She said that the motivation to return to the Tigers was to win “her own” championship and to graduate as well.

And now, as the league was supposed to showcase its brightest talents, the guard has posted a 5-word message on her X. Her tweet read, “That’s enough Allstar for me.

Her tweet came as a surprise to many. With so much hype around this year’s game with new rules and incentives to players, one would assume that Flau’jae Johnson would also be excited for the game. While not confirmed, it could be due to the absence of Caitlin Clark due to a right groin injury. With Johnson admitting to having a close relationship with Clark, she could be just like so many heartbroken fans who were eager to watch her play the game.

Further, when the Indiana Fever announced that the 23-year-old wouldn’t be suiting up either for the 3-point contest or the 2025 WNBA All-Star game, it sent shockwaves through the hooping community and even impacted the event’s commercial appeal. Before the guard’s withdrawal, the ticket prices were commanding premium rates, where the cheaper seats started at $126 and the average resale prices reached $262. This happens to be the highest in WNBA history.

And as per FOX News, the cheapest ticket on TickPick plummeted to just $64, which marked a significant decrease of 48.4%. Now, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that the fans were clearly disappointed. And even the tweet from Johnson floated just hours before the big game.

While the disappointment may be real for Johnson, she sure is voicing nothing but sheer delight over the Dallas Wings guard.

She then went on to ask Paige Bueckers who she thought their comparison was. To which, Beuckers replied, “Obviously we’re not there yet. We have a long way to go but like a young Kahleah Copper and Diana Taurasi.
