Floyd Mayweather Shows No Remorse in One Remark After Donald Trump Endorsement

Floyd Mayweather may be known for his undefeated record and flashy lifestyle, but one thing he never does is back down—neither from opponents nor controversy. The richest boxer in history has built a reputation not just for his unparalleled skills in the ring but also for his extravagant displays of luxury on social media—something that has made him a divisive figure among fans.

While many admire his success and business acumen, others criticize his unapologetic persona and ostentatious approach to fame. Recently, Mayweather once again found himself at the center of controversy after publicly praising President Donald Trump. While his support for Trump isn’t new—he previously attended Trump’s inauguration—his latest endorsement has gone viral, sparking a wave of debate across social media.

Some fans have applauded his stance, while a majority of others have condemned it, further fueling the ongoing divide between his admirers and detractors. Regardless of the backlash, Mayweather has never been one to shy away from speaking his mind, proving once again that he thrives just as much on controversy outside the ring as he does inside it. But the question is, what exactly did the retired boxer say? While appearing in an interview with Fox Business, ‘Money’ said, “We had Trump before, we didn’t appreciate him… I think Trump is a great president, actually, he’s the best president in my eyes, he’s the best president we’ve ever had. Great businessman and that’s what it’s about.” This has sparked a wave of public criticism. Netizens flooded the video’s comment section, with some bashing Floyd while others supported him.

Years ago, Mayweather was involved in a highly publicized feud with rapper 50 Cent, who had made the claims that Floyd Mayweather couldn’t read. While Mayweather has denied those claims, the fanbase never stopped poking fun at Mayweather for it. Regardless, despite all the backlash from the public, Mayweather seems to be marching forward with his support for Trump.

After Mayweather’s statement, the president shared a clip of Mayweather’s interview with his quotes on his Truth Social handle, highlighting the support he is getting from the boxer. Mayweather took this a step further and posted a screengrab of Trump’s post on X with [flexed bicep emoji], emphasizing strength and staying strong under pressure from his fans on social media. This seems to suggest that Mayweather doesn’t have any remorse for showing support for Trump.

While Mayweather and Trump continue their bromance, someone else is not happy!

50 Cent enters the Floyd Mayweather-Donald Trump conversation

50 Cent has once again set his sights on Floyd Mayweather, this time mocking the boxing legend for his support of Donald Trump. Reacting to a clip of Mayweather calling Trump “the best president we ever had” and “the best man for the job,” 50 took to Instagram with his signature humor.

“Yo you know how when you’re in school and a kid eats the crayons? Now you see what happens when they grow up,” he wrote, adding, “Spell BEST PRESIDENT, champ!” 50 Cent’s stance on Trump has fluctuated over the years. In 2020, he briefly appeared to back Trump before walking back on his statement.

It appears that despite what people say online, Floyd Mayweather remains a staunch supporter of Donald Trump. Whether this partnership ever changes is yet to be seen, but the question is, what are your thoughts on Mayweather’s support for Trump?
