Fred Warner’s Wife’s 5-Word Reaction to $63M Payday After Candid Confession About 49ers LB

“I know my agent, the team, and all that — it will all work itself out. I’m obviously just ready to go to work and be the best version of myself.” Fred Warner iterated this earlier this year while reflecting on his contract extension. And, now his hefty three-year, $63 million contract extension deal with the 49ers testifies to his dedication and relentless work ethic since the team drafted him as their third-round pick in the 2018 NFL draft.

Undoubtedly, earning All-Pro selections, the Len Eshmont Award, and the Bill Walsh honor showcased his on-field dominance. Additionally, his four-time Pro Bowler appearances and impressive tackle numbers, including securing 263 total tackles during the 2024 season, made him a key defensive leader in the NFL, earning the hefty offer. And, for his NFL accomplishments and latest milestone, no one is as proud as his wife, Sydney Warner.

Taking to her official IG handle, Mrs. Warner exhibited her genuine feelings for her NFL partner with whom she exchanged the wedding vows back in June 2022. Elated Sydney reshared the media company, Complex Sports’s post to express her admiration for the NFL’s top LB. And, she echoed her true sentiments with a heartfelt message.

“Always in awe of you @fred_warner,” she mentioned in her IG story post caption. The pleased NFL wag did not stop there, she went on gushing over with immense pride for having the “best husband” that she could ever pray for.  She even expressed those feelings in the caption in a different IG story post. “The best husband, father, supporter, teammate, and protector we could have ever prayed for,” she explained, adding, “You are our super man!”

Her commendation came after Complex Sports gave a major shoutout to the NFL four-time Pro Bowl linebacker, as he became the highest-paid linebacker in the NFL with $56 million guaranteed money. “Worth every single penny,” they mentioned in their post caption, dropping the flexed biceps emoji. This is how they celebrated Warner’s latest feat.

However, this was not the first time Fred Warner’s wife’s adoration caught attention. Alabama native Sydney has been with him through thick and thin since the couple started dating back in 2020.

From cheering him from the stands to embracing parenthood with him, she has been loving every bit of it. The couple was blessed with a baby boy, Beau Anthony, back in  March 2024.

Back in December 2024, during a candid discussion with the Sydney Us Weekly, she shed light on her transition to becoming the NFL wag.  “You find your footing. I think it took me a while to find my niche and where I felt comfortable being a wife, now a mother, a girlfriend at the time. Now I’m Fred’s partner, and we’re a duo. That’s an amazing thing to say,” she remarked.

The former Bachelor contestant, Sydney’s journey with the NFL LB has been impressive so far. And her latest reaction is truly understandable, after all, her NFL hubby left the fans frenzy over his whopping contract extension deal with the 49ers.

Warner’s contract deal with the 49ers

On Monday, NFL analyst Adam Schefter delighted Fred Warner’s fans with the biggest announcement of his contract extension deal. Even his wife confirmed the news by re-sharing several media companies’ posts, citing Schefter’s reports.

“Niners for lyyyyfee!” she mentioned in the post’s caption, dropping multiple hearts plus blessing hands emojis.

While the original post provided all the required insights about LB’s new contract. “BREAKING: The 49ers are signing star LB Fred Warner to a 3-year/$63M contract extension with $56.7M guaranteed, making him the NFL’s highest-paid linebacker(via Schefter),” the post caption read.

As per Schefter’s report, under his new contract deal, 49ers LB will earn $21 million annually,  keeping him in San Francisco through the 2029 season. However, this is not the first time he has become the league’s highest-paid linebacker in his seven-year career.

Fred Warner, already under a five-year, $95.2M deal signed in 2021, has now potentially secured his future in San Francisco. Over his last 34 regular-season games, Warner has tallied 263 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 18 pass deflections, six interceptions, and eight forced fumbles. Indeed, this makes him one of the league’s elite defensive stars.

Amazingly, Fred Warner’s new contract surpassed the previous record set by Ravens’ Roquan Smith, who inked a five-year, $100 million contract in 2023. Smith’s contract deal included  $45 million guaranteed with $60 million in total guarantees.

Interestingly, following the extension of QB Brock Purdy’s contract with $265 million last week, the 49ers gave Warner a good offer.  It seems that the 49ers are keeping their franchise signal-caller in the Bay for as long as possible.

And, of course, George Kittle’s $76.4 million four-year contract can not be overlooked at this time. With all of this, we can ascertain that Fred Warner’s legacy in San Francisco is steadily growing.
