They don’t stop me for Reddit, they stop me for my pancake art, and they are like “yo dude I love your pancakes man.” And I’m like thank you, I enjoy making them.” However, making pancakes is not the only thing that Ohanian enjoys doing with Olympia – and their antics keep fans entertained.
The Reddit co-founder recently shared an interesting reel on his IG platform where Olympia was trimming her father’s hair. Eyes focused on Ohanian, Olympia grinned at the camera, showing how much she loved the hairstyling session with her father. The Reddit co-founder encouraged his daughter, “I trust you, Olympia,” giving followers a peek into the trust factor in their relationship. Above all, Ohanian enjoyed the downtime with his 7-year-old, even finding something to chuckle about.
Ohanian added a cheeky caption with this reel: “The gentleman’s mullet is gone.” For the unversed, Ohanian was referring to his ages old hairstyle – short on the sides and top, but long at the back. His words although funny, revealed how willingly he let go of his old hairstyle for Olympia’s experiments. However, Olympia wasn’t there all by herself; turns out, her work was supervised by a proper stylist! And also, the young girl might just have built up her chops over the past few years too. In 2021, Ohanian shared a post where the adorable three-year-old Olympia became his father’s hairstylist. “Y’all kept bugging me about my hair, so I finally got a new stylist,” Ohanian wrote, sharing a reel where his hair was sprawled open on a pillow and his little girl combed his hair. “Olympia, what are you doing,” he asked his daughter, who was outside the frame.
“Brushing your hair,” came the prompt reply from the toddler, who was combing her father’s hair from root to the tip. Back then too, the adorable moment warmed the fraternity’s hearts, giving them a peak into a heartwarming father-daughter moment. What struck with many was Ohanian’s dedication to fatherhood despite a busy professional life. However, not everything is as sunny as it sounds, for Papa Ohanian found himself under the scanner for his household capers too.
In a discussion with the Culture and Chaos podcast, Ohanian revealed that he was criticized for not committing fully to his career and instead spending time with his children. Clapping back, Ohanian said, “I have business folks I work with and I’ve got guys who sincerely think I am not nearly as committed as I am to success at work, because they know that side of my persona. And it’s so wild, because I am like bro I know I outwork you, I know my returns are better than you. But I think it’s cute that you have this idea that I can’t be showing up for my kids, making some pancakes and also showing up to beat your *ss” he said.
