Going Viral With Only Fans Pay, Cory Sandhagen Comes Clean on 2024 Setback With Team Khabib

“So, I gotta take time out of my day—almost every day—to, you know, work on my OnlyFans,” confessed Cory Sandhagen during his chat on the ‘OnlyDogs Podcast.’ In today’s fast-paced world, where a fighter’s modest paycheck often isn’t enough, chasing the belt is the ultimate goal to boost earnings. But what happens when those plans are suddenly upended by a rising star? That’s exactly what happened to Sandhagen when he faced Umar Nurmagomedov. Losing the fight via unanimous decision, Sandhagen not only came up short in the octagon but also lost his shot at the title—and the payday that comes with it. Now, ‘Sandman’ has opened up about how that loss completely altered his career trajectory.

Last year, Cory Sandhagen accepted a fight against Umar Nurmagomedov at UFC on ABC. ‘Sandman’ tried to use his striking to navigate past the Dagestani, but he failed to breach the wall, as Nurmagomedov dominated the striker to win the bout by unanimous decision (50–45, 49–46, and 49–46). Throughout the five rounds, Umar showcased superior striking and grappling, ensuring he stayed a step ahead of Sandhagen. ‘Sandman’ lost his ticket to the title shot, following his defeat to Umar Nurmagomedov.

In his recent conversation, the Aurora, Colorado fighter has come forward to state that his fighting plan was wrecked by himself alone. When Mike Perry asked Sandhagen whether he performed his best against Umar Nurmagomedov at UFC on ABC, he stated that he certainly didn’t on that fateful day, “I definitely didn’t perform my best, but I just made little tiny errors that definitely would have made the fight winnable for me. I was getting frustrated in the fight because the plan was that I was going to cancel out his wrestling, which I did. But then I knew that he’s kind of a point guy too — he likes to score from the outside.”

He further added, “He’s not really looking for big shots. I do that as well, so I thought, ‘Okay, that’ll cancel out.’ Then I was thinking, who’s going to win the rounds? It’s going to be based off of who can land — kind of have that bigger moment in the rounds. I just got really hyper-focused on that piece, and it kind of messed up the way that I was fighting. The whole time, I was trying to have big moments, and that’s just not what I do. So, I mean, I made that error, which made me not fight like how I feel.”

After losing to Umar Nurmagomedov, Cory Sandhagen returned to the Octagon to face former flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo at UFC Des Moines on May 3. In a striking masterclass, Sandhagen knocked out the former champ in the second round after Figueiredo sustained a knee injury from Sandhagen’s attacks. Following the victory, ‘Sandman’ set his sights on a title shot, saying, “Whether O’Malley or Merab wins, I’m the only guy in the top five who hasn’t fought Merab. And O’Malley is someone people have been begging to see me fight for a really long time,” said Sandhagen.

Cory Sandhagen might have had to tweak his game plan, but one thing remains unchanged—his eyes are still set on UFC gold. While fans were caught off guard by his confession regarding a potential bout with Umar Nurmagomedov, another revelation has stirred up just as much buzz.

Cory Sandhagen confesses to huge monetary benefits due to OnlyFans

Taking a step away from training, Cory Sandhagen, while in a conversation with Mike Perry on his OverDogs podcast, confessed that he made millions out of his OnlyFans handle and joked that Deiveson Figueiredo under the pseudonym “Godofhorrors69,” was his top OnlyFans subscriber, “So I gotta take time out of my day, almost every day to, you know, do my OnlyFans. Everyone wants to kind of sh-t on me for having them as a sponsor or whatever, but joke’s on you, I made $2 million last month.”

He further added, “Mostly from this guy. I don’t really know who he is. His tagger name is ‘Godofhorrors69’. I’m pretty sure it’s Figgy [Figueiredo]. Everything he writes me is in broken English…He makes me do all kinds of crazy sh-t for him, like sing stupid karaoke songs.”
