Hasbulla Caught in Crossfire as Calls Mount Against Jon Jones Over Tom Aspinall Fight Hiatus

Where is Jon Jones? Fans have been buzzing ever since a recent sighting showed the heavyweight champion riding behind someone on a moped through the streets. Well, it turns out Jones is in Thailand, filming for an MMA reality show where ‘Bones’ has been pitted against Nate Diaz, who will serve as the coach of the rival team. But that’s not all—none other than the internet sensation Hasbulla is in town too!

MMA media outlet Full Violence uploaded a video on their Instagram handle showing Jones sharing a piece of bread with the social media sensation. It was a heartwarming moment between the duo, but now the question arises: Why is Hasbulla there? Well, for those who don’t know, the reality show featuring Jones and Diaz is called the Alf Reality MMA show, which is a Russian counterpart to The Ultimate Fighter (TUF). Therefore, Hasbulla’s presence is justified!

What’s catching everyone’s attention right now is Jon Jones’ presence in the UFC. Why? Because many believe he should finally face Tom Aspinall to defend his heavyweight title, especially since the Briton has held the interim belt for over 550 days now. During a recent live stream, Jones was attacked by Aspinall fans who called out to him for ‘ducking’ the interim champion.

Responding to the criticism, Jones asserted that he doesn’t believe he’s ducking anyone, as he’s currently living his best life. “I’ve got people in the chat calling me a duck,’ Jones said. ‘Meanwhile, I’m living my absolute best life. I don’t know if it’s considered ducking when you’re living good—I don’t think it works like that.”

The fans demand a simple thing from the heavyweight champion: To honor the belt. It’s been a long time since he last stepped into the Octagon, and the fact that Aspinall is still waiting only makes matters worse. Amidst all this, even Hasbulla hasn’t been spared by the fans

MMA community calls out Jon Jones as he shares a moment with Hasbulla

Starting off, a social media user expressed a sentiment shared by much of the MMA community: “He should share the Octagon with Tom.” Furthermore, another user doubled down on the same sentiment, saying: “Anything but fighting Tom.” Interestingly, recently, in his conversation with the High Performance Podcast, Tom Aspinall asserted that he is growing bored of waiting for Jones now, “I’m well bored of [the Jones conversation]. I’ve had enough. We either need to fight, or I need to move on to something else.”

This statement came at a time when Dana White, in his Instagram live, ascertained that the UFC will certainly book a fight between Jones and Aspinall, “I told you guys already, we’ll get Aspinall vs Jones done. The heavyweight fight will happen. Just relax, I’ll announce that soon.”

Furthermore, another social media user expressed that Jones should be stripped of his title: “Strip old man Jones.” A frustrated fan chimed in, stating that Jones is “doing everything but fighting Tom.” Recently, the Brit launched an attack, asserting that ‘Bones’ knows exactly what would happen to him if they faced off, “When you put him in with a guy of my size who has them credentials at this stage in his career, I think Jon’s a smart guy and realizes that, so he wants to be compensated financially for it,” said Aspinall.

His attacks are merely an attempt to lure Jones back into the Octagon, but the heavyweight champion seems to have no intention of accepting his terms. One social media user even called Jon Jones a duck for avoiding Aspinall, saying, “Ducks do love bread.” Lastly, a fan seems to have made peace with the situation, stating, “Yep, he’s never fighting Tom.”

Dana White is scrambling to make that heavyweight superfight happen, but it appears Jon Jones is trying to send a clear message to the UFC CEO: Either bend to his terms, or he is not fighting. Regardless, what are your thoughts on the entire fiasco? Share your opinions in the comments below.
