“I want to be the GOAT at something else. And for me, that’s being a mom right now,” Serena Williams said last year, fully embracing her journey of motherhood. After saying goodbye to tennis, Serena’s daily life has mostly revolved around her two angels – Olympia and Adira. We know how “obsessed” Mama Williams is with her little ones. But guess what? Her goal to be the ‘GOAT mom’ is taking a toll on Serena these days. The 43-year-old just spilled the beans on the challenges of not getting enough ‘me time’.
Just days ago, Serena revealed an instance where she had to make a sacrifice in order to make sure her daughters slept well – without an inch of discomfort. Even though it meant not getting enough rest herself.
In a post on X, dated April 8, she wrote, “I am somehow being squished by a 7-year-old and a 1-year-old…. We have a big bed, but I think I am their heater…I don’t have the heart to move them, so I just won’t sleep.”
Now, in another X post yesterday, Williams shared her motherhood struggles. “I’m in my car…. my Navigator. To be exact, I’ve got the Massage seats on,” she wrote. Continuing further, she revealed how it’s become almost impossible for her to take time for herself amid mommy duties. “I’m sadly hiding from my kid. Today is a holiday and no school. Judge away I don’t care I need 10 mins,” she added.

Well, that’s truly adorable, isn’t it? Being a mother, you just can’t help but care for your children. It doesn’t really matter if your own comfort takes a backseat. Serena is no different. Perhaps that’s the reason she keeps missing them “so much when they sleep.” She admits getting lonely when her two angels sleep.
Motherhood has become such a beautiful part of Serena’s life that she previously made a heartfelt confession about it. In a conversation with Gavin Rossdale, she said, “I was definitely born to be a mom. If you thought I was born to be a tennis player, I was born to be a mom.” Despite work commitments, Serena somehow manages to strike a balance and find enough time to spend with Olympia and Adira.
When Serena Williams juggled between the Super Bowl and her daughter Adira
In a 2018 interview, Serena Williams confessed, “It’s been so hard balancing being a mom and starting my clothing line, as well as playing a professional sport!” And this aspect was clearly visible back in February when Mama Williams faced a challenge fulfilling work commitments, at the Super Bowl, while having to look after Adira, too.
The world witnessed Serena’s dazzling crip walk and gorgeous dance moves as she graced the stage during Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show. But her struggles came to light when she shared a behind-the-scenes moment, being a mom at work. Apparently, Serena was trying to manage her time between rehearsals for her performance and her daughter Adira.
After impressing the crowd at the Caesars Superdome, she went straight to the little one to perform her motherly duties. In an Instagram clip, she revealed, “In between meetings, I ran, took Adira to the zoo, and then I’m gonna go back to the office. Just a day in the life.”
Later, she even took Adira to the oceanside for relaxation. Serena sported a monokini with black spots while the 1-year-old spread cuteness in a white suit. On her IG, Serena wrote, “My mini mini Adira Ohanian wanted to take a dip in the ocean. I could not say no.”
Undoubtedly, Williams has been an inspirational mom, with unending love for her daughters. And fans love glimpses of it from time to time!
