Last couple of months have been a rollercoaster of emotions for Anthony Davis. During his final days as a Laker, he suffered an abdominal injury and was forced to sit out a few games. While he was still recovering, Rob Pelinka traded him to the Mavs without any prior notice. After getting over the initial shock, Davis finally made his Mavs debut on February 8, but suffered another major setback as he got inured once again. Amid this chaos, The Brow also had his family to worry about. So, he turned to Luka Doncic for help!
During a recent interview with Andscape, Davis was asked – What has been the toughest part to adjust to since the trade? Obviously, his first response was not being able to suit up because of the adductor injury and help the Mavs in their playoff pursuit. But now that AD is healthy and back in the lineup, he revealed another big concern, “The only thing I’m not happy about is that I can’t find a damn house in Dallas. I’ve been looking since I got there and I can’t find the house. So, me and the wife trying to figure everything out.”
Nearly two months into the trade, Davis and his family are still in search of a permanent residence in Dallas. Knowing that Luka had been through the same process before, The Brow contacted him. He revealed the details of their private conversation, “Actually Luka told me it took him two to three years to find a house.”
That seems like a long time to find a new home. As expected, Davis is not prepared to wait so long, “I’m not trying to wait two or three years. I got kids.” With his wife Marlen and their three children, AD wants to finalize a permanent residence soon so that they can fully adjust to the place and start a new life in Dallas.
