“I’m Haunting This Guy” – Belal Muhammad Adds to Leon Edwards’ Embarassment After Fire Alarm Incident at UFC London Media Day

UFC welterweight champ Belal Muhammad seems to be having fun at Leon Edwards’ expense. Firstly, the Palestinian American defeated ‘Rocky’ seamlessly at UFC 304 and took his belt that the former champ had effortlessly won against Kamaru Usman. Then he went on to make fun of the Jamaican English man on X saying that while Edwards was blaming the early fight hours of UFC 304 for his loss – Muhammad beat him against all odds.

Muhammad declared challenging him for a rematch, “I beat up Leon at 5 am in front of his hometown and it was easy ..imagine me 30 percent better now that I’m champ and at a normal time can’t wait for May 10th.” To add to the layer of trash talk frosting, ‘Remember the Name’ recently mocked Edwards again when there was huge fiasco during UFC Fight Night 255 media day.

Muhammad posted, “I’m haunting this guy,” but why would he write such a cryptic note? Well what happened at the media day was also nothing out of the ordinary and Muhammad thinks it might be his ‘energy’ on Edwards that made the incident happen. Rather than a normal water bottle throwing brawl like he had with Colby Covington, this time the UFC Fight Night 255 media day was disrupted by the hotel fire alarms just when Leon Edwards sat down to speak to the media.

I’m haunting this guy

Bad omen? Who knows? What we know is that ‘Rocky’ took this to his stride. While calmly answering the questions there was a sudden re-recorded voice saying that a fire alarm testing was going to take place. Edwards’ reflexes were lightning fast and he was about to get up and run for his life but after the announcement, the reporters had a great laugh with him. After much-recorded alarms and announcements, the interview commenced again. However, even ‘Rocky’ could not shake away the thought that Muhammad’s ‘haunting’ eye might be on him that disrupted his media day and he jokingly said, “I feel like Belal did that.”

One thing is for sure is, we don’t know whether Muhammad is haunting him but the loss that Edwards had against Mohammad is defenitely giving him sleepless nights. ‘Rocky’ believes that he is a better fighter between the two and during a recent conversation with Ariel Helwani, he decided to spit some hard truths.

Leon Edwards explains his stance on the UFC 304 loss

Combat Forever HQ posted the details of what Edwards said on their Instagram. The post read, “I feel my reactions were slow. I could think in my head what I wanted to do. But for some reason, my body and my mind weren’t in sync like it is normally. Even though he got the win, it was still a close fight on my worst day. This is a guy I know I can beat 9 out of 10 times.”

However, the ones who saw the fight might differ because ‘Rocky’ failed to deliver and was struggling against Muhammad’s relentless pressure. Now Edwards has to fight Sean Brady who is another dangerous contender known for his intense gorilla-like pressure inside the cage and has only lost once, to ‘Rocky’s’ foe, Muhammad. To top it all off, he even had a staph infection some months back which he claims is now healed.
