For Ludvig Aberg, the 2025 PGA Tour has been a mixed bag. The Swede is currently placed 3rd at the Genesis Invitational hosted by Tiger Woods. On day 3, Aberg had a topsy-turvy run, which started with an ace at Hole 3 followed by four bogeys and four birdies to finish the day on 2 under par and the tournament on 6 under par. Despite the day not being his absolute best, the Texas Tech University alum’s confidence remains unshaken – and a special someone might be boosting that.
Ludvig Aberg’s confidence in the course comes from the unwavering support of Olivia Peet, his girlfriend. The Brit was present at the Torrey Pines Golf Course to watch the Swede tee off in a bid to win only his second-ever PGA Tour event. Olivia Peet turned up with her friend and fellow Texas Tech University tennis alum Camryn Stepp. Safe to say, Aberg had quite a cheering squad rooting for him.
Peet reshared a photo put up by Stepp as a story on her Instagram page. The photo has them both standing at the iconic South Course on day 2. The post had a caption saying “Friday at Torrey Pines” with a red flag-golf course emoji, showing how Peet was celebrating Valentine’s Day by showing support for her boyfriend.
Peet also put a story sharing the ace that Aberg scored at the 140-yard Hole 3. Aberg used a pitching wedge to full effect, with the ball hitting the green and spinning back into the hole. Peet was very proud of the achievement sharing the PGA Tour’s official reel on the moment with a caption in her story, “Lfg!!”
Peet, who is herself an athlete, has been a constant fixture by Aberg’s side having met each other at their alma mater Texas Tech University. In fact, she announced her arrival earlier on IG stories too. Putting up a selfie from the restroom of her fitness club, she tagged ‘EXOS Torrey Pines’ and wrote: “Fav place in San Diego to work out“. And while these days, golf is her thing, her own athletic career was slightly different to Aberg’s.
Meet Olivia Peet, the tennis player behind Ludvig Aberg
Peet was a highly successful tennis player in her school days. She was a nationally ranked player in the UK and had made it to the finals of the U16 British Nationals. Her dad is Chris Peet, a former tennis professional who had represented England in both singles and doubles. Olivia Peet, needless to say, followed in her dad’s footsteps.
Peet led the Queenswood Girls School in London to three National School Championships as the team captain. This led to her being selected to play for Texas Tech University, where she has an amazing winning record too. She has played both singles and doubles in college like her father, winning 73 singles and 71 doubles match-ups and holding a best ITA singles ranking of 115.
In her time at the University, Peet notched several achievements. Some of them were the ITA Scholar-Athlete (2020–2023), CSD Academic All-District Team(2023), Academic All-Big 12 First Team (2020-2023) and All-Big 12 Second Team Single(2023).
