Jade Carey and Jordan Chiles Raise Further Speculations Over Their Gymnastics Future

We all know what happened with Jordan Chiles in the 2024 Paris Olympics. There is no denying that the repercussions of it did take a toll on her mental health, but the big question is whether she will be back. Addressing her stance for the LA Olympics, she stated, “For now, I’m still embracing Paris.” She shared that she still has a year of college left, and then she’ll see. And while there is time to LA, Jordan has been completely off elite gymnastics since Paris. The same goes with Jade Carey, as well.

I’m not doing elite this year, so I just have them to focus on and that’s it,” confessed Jade Carey in an interview. Again, this was for the whole of the 2025 season, and she has not stepped onto the mat as a gymnast for the 2025 US Classic and the 2025 Xfinity Championships. But what about the coming season? There are no clear answers yet, and their latest action? It has only clouded the situation.

Jade Carey took to her TikTok handle two days ago to post a vlog, captioned, “a day in my life in NOLA.” It was from the 2025 Xfinity Championships, held in New Orleans, and the Olympian was present there to slide the medals down the winner’s neck, sign some autographs, etc. She had captured all these moments and uploaded them to her TikTok handle. Then, there was one moment where Jordan Chiles also jumped into it, putting a more opaque cover over their gymnastics future. What happened?

“So,” Carey began. “We are currently,” Jordan chimed in, “no longer,” continued Carey, “national team members,” they said together. Both of them have skipped the 2025 elite events, including the U.S. Classic, Winter Cup, and remain excluded from the U.S. national team. But there is still some sun in these clouds.

Notice how Jordan said currently”? That can be a hint that in the future, near or far, they may be back.
