Jalen Brunson Sends Strong Message to Jayson Tatum After Clutching Game 2 vs Celtics

They’ve done it again! After the Knicks made a miraculous 20-point comeback on Monday, many believed it had more to do with the Celtics’ shooting struggles than the New York team’s resilience. Jayson Tatum and Co. missed an NBA playoffs record 45 threes in the series opener. So, everyone expected them to shake off that rare terrible shooting night and bounce back in tonight’s Game 2. But Jalen Brunson’s squad proved that Monday’s outcome was not a fluke.

In a game that was eerily similar to the previous one, the Celtics started out hot and took an early lead. However, the Knicks made another shocking turnaround by going on a 21-2 run in the fourth quarter. And they took their first lead of the night with less than two minutes remaining in the final buzzer. Finally, it all culminated with Brunson’s two clutch free throws to seal the game, giving the Knicks a 2-0 lead in the East semis.

Hyped after their second straight comeback win in Boston, JB had a strong message for Jayson Tatum and Co., “We’re just gonna keep fighting. We just gotta keep each other in the locker room, focus on each other, focus on us, and just focus on one thing at a time.” Yes, the Knicks have proven that they are not going to back down, no matter how big the challenge.
