Last year, Jamal Murray sent the Lakers packing with two insane game winners in the playoffs. Many even deemed him – The Lakers Killer. That’s because he always plays his best basketball when facing them. Even last Friday, it was his dagger three in the final seconds over Dalton Knecht that sealed the game for the Nuggets. Unfortunately, Murray will not be there to rescue his team tonight as they take on the LA franchise in last week’s rematch.
Yes, Jamal will not suit up against the Lakers. Reason? A right ankle sprain that also forced him to miss Monday’s Warriors clash. Well, the point guard was initially listed as questionable on the injury report, but his status has been downgraded to out merely hours before tip-off.
Of course, this is a massive blow for the Nuggets because Murray has been incredible this year, averaging 21.5 points and over six assists. Especially against the Lakers last Friday, he dropped 26 points on a highly efficient shooting night and led his team to victory. The Nuggets will surely miss his firepower tonight.
