Jason Kidd Drops Fresh Update on Anthony Davis as Key Player’s Injury Add to Mavs Crisis

Following Tuesday’s heartwarming reunion with the Lakers in the Crypto.com Arena, Anthony Davis claimed that he has “moved on” from the shocking trade and is focused on building a new life in Dallas with his family. “Hey man, I’m past that. I’m ready to move forward with Dallas, try to get a championship there with these guys.” He told the Los Angeles Times. But in order to win a title, AD first needs to recover from his adductor injury and return to the lineup completely healthy. Turns out, he might be getting closer to that day as Jason Kidd provided latest update on the forward’s health.

When asked how AD has been feeling amid his recovery process and what his overall vibe has been, Kidd said, “Yeah, I think his vibes, he’s a great dude. He’s doing extremely well. The energy is positive, he feels good.” Well, Davis has begun doing some light shooting and getting into the weight room, which is a great sign.

Sure enough, Kidd remains optimistic about his return, “Haven’t really seen a lot of the court work but Happy that he’s on the court, but just in conversation he says he feels great. So hopefully he’s trending in the right direction and we’ll find out here shortly how everything’s going.” Of course, Davis is one of the most versatile bigs in the league when healthy, averaging 25.7 points and twelve rebounds this season.

Even during his Mavs debut earlier this month, he dropped an impressive 26 points and sixteen rebounds, showing what he is capable of. That was before he was forced to leave the game due to the unfortunate injury. And his return to the lineup will surely boost the Mavs’ chances of making a playoff push. As of now, they are stuck at the ninth seed in the West, only one win ahead of the Kings. Kidd’s update gives major relief, especially at a time when they are dealing with another injured star. PJ Washington!

Jason Kidd “Highly Concerned” as PJ Washington gets ruled out for tonight’s Hornets Clash

While Davis continues to make progress, Washington has made a late entry to the injury report. Turns out, the sprained right ankle that caused him to miss some games earlier this month is still bothering him. That’s why he will not suit up tonight against the Hornets. Revealing more details on PJ’s health ahead of the game, Kidd said, “The concern is high, coming off this road trip and coming back home and for his ankle, hopefully he can heal here quickly and is ready to go for Saturday, but unfortunately he can’t go today.”
