“Jealous”- Khamzat Chimaev Gets Exposed by UFC Fans After Alex Pereira Trolling Goes Wrong

Some fan-favorite fighters are more favorite than others and Khamzat Chimaev learned that the hard way. Who knew that jibes against a double champion could earn lashings even for a fighter like Chimaev who is a massive fan favorite? Well, that’s what happened when he decided to diss Alex Pereira and remind him of the humiliating defeat at UFC 287. ‘Borz’ had greatly impressed the fighting community by displaying his immense strength against Robert Whittaker at UFC 308. He quickly rose in popularity and the fighting realm even began to back him up in his quest to become a UFC champion. But little did he know that dissing ‘Poatan’ could turn the fanbase against him.

The #3 middleweight contender took to X and shared two pictures of the aftermath of UFC 287. They were from Israel Adesanya’s final rise over the man with the hands of stone, as he knocked Pereira out cold. The pictures showed the Brazilian champion lying on the canvas while the referee and the cage side officials tried to bring him back to his senses. And the trouble rose with the captions.

In the first tweet, the Chechen Wolf wrote, “Sama wake up,” followed by a laughing emoji. In the second one, Chimaev dropped an insulting take on Pereira’s habit of saying ‘Chama’ once again, wrote, “Sama,” and ended the line with a fist and a palm emoji. Needless to say, the middleweight’s words soon found their way to Instagram including the Championship Rounds page.

As soon as the words came across the social media platform, the fight fans took over the comments section to reveal their thoughts. And not every fan liked the way Khamzat Chimaev made fun of Alex Pereira. Let’s see what the fighting community had to say.

Khamzat Chimaev garners angry glare from fans after dissing Alex Pereira

Some of the fans believed that it was all because Chimaev was upset about apparently losing Pereira as an opponent. Well, this was in reference to Dricus Du Plessis calling out ‘Poatan’ after he successfully defended his middleweight championship belt against Sean Strickland at UFC 312. One of the fans wrote, “hes jealous that dricus is possibly fighting perriera so hes trying to steal the spot.” Meanwhile, a few others were wondering if there was bad blood rising between ‘Borz’ and Pereira. A comment read, “huh what happen? thought these two just show respect to each other lol.”

A few others decided to give Chimaev a reality check. One fan commented, “Bro acting like he’s the champ.” And another reminded the Chechen Wolf of the Brazilian’s achievements. He wrote, “Sama a 2 division champ and current champ ” But fans weren’t oblivious to Chimaev’s next bout against DDP. One fan weighed in on that and wrote, “Flu guy will get annihilated by ddp.”

On the other hand, a few others were excited to watch Chimaev fight Pereira. A fan commented, “I need to see this fight.” But that also came with a stern warning for ‘Borz’. One of the comments read, “I want chimaev to understand something, he is not a mixed martial artist, he doesn’t mix things up, apart from takedown and submission, he does nothing, burns exposed him, he couldn’t finish usman on days notice so he should stay away from Pereira, he will bury his soul and his entire mma career.”

Well, Chimaev knew the risks of facing Pereira pretty well. During his conversation with Michael Bisping prior to his bout at UFC 308, ‘Borz’ revealed that he has been always open to taking the fight to Pereira. being a grappler, he could easily take down a striker like ‘Poatan’. But he knew that the Brazilian champion had the power to knock him out cold. Meanwhile, former champion Robert Whittaker believes Chimaev would ‘easily’ beat ‘Poatan.’
